For those of you curious as to how it can be buffered and true bypass selectable digitally, it sounds like the foot switch triggers a solenoid internally based on the pedal settings rather than the footswitch being the actual mechanism opening and closing the circuit. This also enables the tuner to turn on and off with no switching noise. I’ve used this thing to dial in my intonation super precisely as well as just tuning between songs. It’s very easy to read and not as jumpy as cheaper and less accurate tuners that have dial or LED scale displays. I have used the “sweetened” guitar tuning and it does change the sound ever so slightly but it depends in what key and what frets are being used to improve the overall sounds.

Incredible Tuner Coming from using a headstock tuner, this is a huge upgrade. When working on a guitar’s intonation, this tuner is incredible. It is easy to read from a distance due to its bright screen, a straightforward design for speedy tuning, and incredibly silent operation with exceptionally accurate results. If you’re looking for a compact pedalboard tuner or even just a tuner to keep on your desk, this is the one you need. However, if you need a tuner that can run on battery power, consider the bigger brother—the Peterson StroboStomp HD. 10 out of 10, would buy again.

I decided to put together a smaller pedalboard since the Band is taking a little Winter break & I needed a Tuner. After some searching I found this Peterson Mini-Stomp & it is Frigg’n PERFECT! Built like a tank, very quick & accurate & the perfect size. I had Tap Plastics cut me a little 3/4” Riser to raise the pedal up so when I’m “Tap Dancing” I don’t change something else LOL! I’m now going to order it’s Big Brother & replace my TU3!! I like it that much. It comes with a lot of Bells & Whistles but I just need a tuner that it Accurate & can see on Stage! Bravo!!

I needed a compact tuner to fit on my pedal board, and this one fit my need perfectly. I read many positive reviews before I bought this, and I agree with them. It's super accurate, sturdy, and has multiple adjustments for tuning, display etc. I especially like the ability to change display colors. Note that the input/output jacks are on the front edge, and the 9 volt jack is on the left side so ensure that this configuration works for you. It also can be powered by USB, but I doubt I would ever use that. Also, there is no battery compartment on this tuner, so it must be powered by an adapter or USB. Overall, this is the best tuner I have ever purchased.

A tuner may be the most “boring” pedal, but this is a well built solid feeling great tuner with a nice display.

I lover Peterson tuners. I already have the larger Strobo-stomp, but got this one for my super small bass pedalboard. Love the small size and customizable display. Of course, always accurate. It’s a Peterson.

You have to love the Peterson strobe display there's nothing like it for fast accurate tuning. The ability to change colors of the display is a nice touch. The sweetened turnings are useful but as most know not required. I do use the guitar sweetener because it's there but I can't tell much difference others might. It is a sturdy box and should last a long while. The display could get cracked as it is about the same as your phone display glass but you would have to drop something on it to do that. It's not something I'm concerned about. One user mentioned it is hard to read from an angle and there is some truth to that. It is like any LCD display. But if I'm on stage I'm not far from it so I don't see it as a problem. If I ever were to be on a big stage I'd probably use a rack tuner anyway. The always on capability is what I purchased it for and it's very nice to see and tune without having to stomp on it. It works well for me. If Peterson wanted to conquer the world with these things they could remove all the sweeteners and sell a dumbed down version for 60 bucks and they would be on evey stage and in every bedroom where there is a guitar or bass. They could do the sweetener version for the pros that require that functionality most guitar and bass players do not. It's a fair purchase for a hundred bucks for what it does and it beats the pants off TC and Korg in my view.

One of the Best tuners out. Precise tuning and great additional tunes. Sweetened Tunes sound great. Offers customized tunes that can be saved and recalled. Peterson is the way to go.

The Peterson has lots of flexibility. It’s a superb true strobe tuner. Too many other brands have a strobe ‘mode’ which is not the same thing. The Peterson is accurate and perfect for adjusting intonation. The display is large, fast, clear and bright. I’m delighted with this purchase. It’s by far the best tuner out there and worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Peterson Strobe Tuners are the best out there. Their tuning is precise. They also include a number of factory loaded presets for sweetened tunings. It's easy to change your tuning reference point and also to configure the tuner to be sharp or flat by intent. The display colour options makes reading the tuner easy regardless of location. No software is needed to configure the thing and there are no dumb apps required. When you register your unit online, and connect it to your computer with the supplied cable, the firmware is automatically checked and updated if necessary. Buy no other tuner. Get your last tuner first.

Franchement, qu'est-ce qui compte plus qu'un bon accordage quand on joue de la guitare ? Dégoûté par des pédales moins chères et pourtant de marques réputées, je recommande par contre celle-ci... même si c'est cher. Si on n'a pas le budget, mieux vaut opter pour de bons petits accordeurs-pinces en attendant de pouvoir s'offrir une Peterson. Trop de musiciens se fient à des pédales d'accordage qui leur fait jouer faux.
