This was perfect to get my old tapes to play in vhs tape, it was good quality

Item broke after one use. Door would not close and ruined my mini video cassette

Grinding, clicking, struggling to work from day one. I was able to get 4 tapes to play in this adapter (which sounds like it is going to grind my tapes into dust) before the mechanism completely stopped on the 5th tape, leaving me no choice but to manually try to rescue my stuck VHS-C tape from its grips. I could not open it, the mechanism stopped working mechanically altogether. No, it was not because the new battery died either. I am highly frustrated that this adapter in all its plastic glory is such low quality.

The adapter is hard to close. It works ok otherwise

This device failed on the first try. After much effort I did get a tape into it, but it did not load the film properly and would not play on the VHS. Then the machine went completely dead (operates on a AA battery) and the compartment would not open at all. There seems to be a small motor in this device and that motor is failing to operate rendering the entire device inoperable.

My tape got stick and I lost precious memories
