I bought the RØDECaster Duo as part of my music production and content creation setup, and it has quickly become the center of my workflow. Despite its compact size, it feels very powerful and well-designed. Everything is laid out intuitively, so it didn’t take long to get comfortable using it. The audio quality is excellent—clean, clear, and professional whether I’m recording vocals, monitoring sound, or working on creative projects. I really appreciate how streamlined it makes the process, especially not having to juggle multiple pieces of gear just to get good sound. It feels reliable and polished, with no lag or awkward adjustments needed once it’s set up. Overall, this is a solid all-in-one solution for creators who want high-quality audio without a bulky setup. It’s thoughtfully built, space-saving, and clearly designed for people who are serious about producing content efficiently and professionally.

The duo unlike the pro 2 will not work with a power bank and I’ve tried them all. The pro 2 works with many of power banks but the same ones s don’t work with the duo. I don’t understand how or why because both require 9v3A. The only power bank that worked and only with AC power cord was the Anker power house. The type c doesn’t work only the wall plug works and the Anker powerhouse is not small or light for easy carry

My Wife and I started a gaming channel on You tube 2 years ago and the biggest problem we've had is audio overlap. Her Mic was picking up what I was saying and vice versa. It was a pain in the ass to edit, sometimes taking an entire day just to edit a 30 min video. This mixer solved all my problems, the rodecaster puts all of your mics into one channel plus has onboard processing. The voice changers and sound pads are a bonus for when we are streaming but the main reason I bought it is that editing now only takes 20 minutes. Easy to Use but Hard to master, I would recommend watching a few audio engineers on You Tube on how to set it up to get the best sound possible. I highily recomend picking it up

You should not buy this item as less than a year in, I feel like it started at around month 3-4 it will randomly glitch out and need to restart. The FAQ's mention to unplug the device and let it sit for a bit, but if it is my sound routing for my computer, I cannot do that. Even after being unplugged for a whole day it will still randomly hitch and restart. Sometimes not even when it's hot. I don't like the lack of customization for each audio output, the pc gets lumped all into one output if you connect it to the mixer. Even bluetooth audio from my phone is low, which is crazy if it's max cranked volume. The sliders and UI is beginner friendly, but the software on the pc does not match what is shown on the screen, so I have to fine tune on the mixer itself. I'd recommend a different mixer for the money.

It's a bit less intuitive and user friendly than the Wave XLR or GoXLR, but once you figure it out, the amount of freedom you get with this mixer is endless. The pre-amp provides enough gain to drive an SM7B without a cloud lifter easily with a configurable preset. I often use other features like the smart pads for sounds in discord/stream or even in games. To say the least, it's a party trick that makes every Arc Raiders session great fun. With that said, while I got my value out of it, most people would be much better off with the Wave XLR or GoXLR. Do your research before committing because admittedly my use case for this particular mixer is extremely niche.

This device is your all in one solution for creating audio content. It can’t handle any mic you throw at it and it sounds good. My only knock on it is that there are so many features, that it’s easy to become confused. Only basic instructions come with the Duo, and Rode’s website is of limited help. The menu system isn’t intuitive for beginners. The learning curve is slightly steep. Beginners should start with something like a Lewitt Connect 6.
