Excellent cameras, fully compatible with Frigate. I've been using these with my Frigate setup for a while and they've worked flawlessly. I have 4 of these , the app is easy to use. The picture is great during the day. I don't need to run a HDD to record as the memory card does it for that .... ( That was bought separately) . You also get sound as well . The ir for night time could be a bit more powerful for my liking ,but at end of the day it's poe , it's easy to install . Mine have been up for a while now and I have had no issues with them .

Works great on Synology Surveillance station. Did not auto- recognise it so just work out the IP address and add it manually. Picture quality is fantastic and the sound is very acceptable as well. When connected to a Reolink NVR it is picked up automatically immediately either on the LAN or connected to a port directly. Have not used the number plate recognition stuff. I have no interest in that and will leave the funky stuff to the NVR/Synology. I really don't understand some of the negative reviews and I have installed hundreds of cameras at friends and families homes. I now always go to Reolink since they are so well built and reliable. Not a single one of them have ever gone wrong since I installed the first one six years ago. The mounting is perfectly fine. If you install under the eaves who is going to remove it being so high up? If you install on a bunglaow, say, or lower down you must always be aware that someone could aerosol spray over the camera anyway so a lower down camera is a bunk idea anyway.

UPDATED July 25 - The original review was 1* because the camera failed not even 3 months in. To their credit, Reolink eventually replaced the product under warranty and the replacement has been working OK for about a month. I'll update if it fails again. But while I admit, product support did, in the end swap it out under warranty, the process was a bit like pulling teeth and took over a week, if not more (I forget exactly). Also, I had to return it AT MY EXPENSE even though it was not my fault the camera failed (moisture got into the "waterproof" connector). Fortunately I managed to find a very cheap method of sending it back so it wasn't too bad (Royal Mail tracked 48H). So, word of warning, be careful with it and keep the original packaging somewhere safe. ----- Original review below ----- When it worked, it worked well, but it really didn't last long at all. Used with a Synology NAS. Currently in the process of submitting a warranty claim. Bought 21st March. Failed 5th June. At 1PM on the 5th it disconnected and reconnected a short while after. This repeated several times during the day with progressively longer reconnection times until around 9PM which was the last time the camera was connected. Have tried power cycling, resetting to factory defaults, nothing works. The PoE part is fine since the UV leds light up at night but that's it. You can't ping the camera and the software can't see it. My Reolink doorbell nought shortly after still works fine.

The picture quality is great! And(!!!) it records in 25fps while majority of cctv cameras record in 15 fps. 25fps make the footage much smoother ! The app is great too! If you are going through a recorded footage, it automatically plays all clips one by one! You dont need to sellect them manually one by one! Also you can adjust colours and other stuff in the app.

for some reason the camera and another rlc-520A (in black) that i purchased didnt work on my system. My white versions were detecting but the black wasnt. rather than send them back as faulty, i contacted reolink through their main website and used chat to speak to them. I was expecting to have to send both cameras back after reading other folks reviews, but i have to say the customer service was great and solved the issue straight away. The firmware on my system was out of date and once the up to date firmware was manually downloaded and installed, the cameras were detected straight away. The nvr system has also gained lots of new features that i didnt previously have. I never knew i needed to manually update the firmware on the system, as i thought it did that automatically with the updates.

I self installed this cctv camera as a standalone camera with ethernet cable and a poe switch. I’ve got a 126gb SD card for local storage and this gives 3 days worth of 4k recordings. I bought a ethernet (RJ45) crimping tool/kit, watched a youtube video on how to use it and to prepare the cable ends. I bought an ethernet drum roll of 100m so had plenty of cable to practice on but only used about 1m and four RJ45s connectors before I got it right so I was confident when doing the 30m cable. I would recommend you do the same if you want to do it DIY. It helped me get it done right the first time and if about 10 minutes for both ends. I will be buying another reolink camera soon as the quality is great, app is easy to use and features are really good.

Devo dire che prima di scegliere questo modello ho provato anche la Reolink da 5MP (avevo letto ottime recensioni) e la videocamera Ring Stick Up Cam Elite HD (ero attratto dalle funzionalità e dall' app realizzata molto bene secondo me). Questa reolink con video in 4K però è risultata essere la migliore per i seguenti motivi: - qualità costruttiva (è molto più compatta, per capirci non dà l'effetto di un faro puntato addosso come le classiche bullet cam, ad esempio la versione 5MP mi sembrava proprio la cam che trovo quando entro nella mia banca) - qualità dell'immagine (è molto più dettagliata e luminosa rispetto alla 5MP, c'è un abisso con quella della RING in cui è tutto pixelato) - funzione di rilevamento (il rilevamento non è precisissimo, ma questo difetto ce l'hanno tutte le cam) - gli infrarossi funzionano alla grande e la cam riesce ad identificare i movimenti anche a diversi metri di distanza (io ho provato fino a 5/6 metri, la telecamera della RING invece mi rilevava il movimento non oltre i 3 metri di distanza) - il software per pc e l'app sono ok secondo me. Sarebbero comunque graditi alcuni miglioramenti, ma credo che presto li faranno (ad esempio, nell' app, aggiungendo alle notifiche un' immagine di anteprima del movimento rilevato, nella versione desktop invece ogni tanto si blocca la schermata ed occorre cliccare sull'icona dell'ingranaggio per far ripartire lo streaming a video) L'unica pecca secondo me è l'assenza dell'audio bi-direzionale (cioè puoi solo ascoltare, non è presente una cassa di uscita audio sulla cam per emettere ad esempio un suono di una sirena). Ad ogni modo la consiglio, non credo ci sia di meglio allo stesso prezzo (l'ho pagata 80€ in offerta).

To sum it up; good quality product with great price! Would recommend. The Reolink 4K Ultra HD PoE camera is perfect for small (6m) to medium (20m) size gardens. The image quality is good and it is very handy that you can save the feed to either SD card, FTP server or DVR solution. When building my house, this camera saved all data to the SD card and was switched over to FTP once it was finished. The camera is easily connected to your Reolink app (as with all their camera's that I've tried) so setup is a breeze. The possibility to block off areas in the feed for privacy of my neighbours is also very welcome. As a security minded individual I found this to be a very welcome addition. It also helps that you can block off sections of busy roads so the camera does not record every passing car. Lastly, when the SD card is full, it will not stop recording but rather overwrite old recordings. So no upkeep or missing out on footage due to a full SD card.
