Haven't owned long enough to know durability
I'm reviewing this based on first impressions. Ease of opening and closing and for both operations being safe, excellent. It took me about a minute to figure out how to flick this open with very little effort needed to push lock to release blade then simply flicking from a position where the blade is hanging down as gravity is enough to start the blade moving once unlocked. Maybe there's a better method but this was simple for me and feels comfortable. Next sharpness. Blade was sharpened nice and evenly from factory, was able to cut paper strips using the entire blade and the cut felt nice and smooth. Lastly, I don't see why this blade wouldn't last a long time unless it's abused. You can look up the type of metal this is and it's a good quality blade, not great, but it's good for a lower cost blade. It's tough so it will hold an edge good enough and it's fairly easy to sharpen so if you have a pull through that can deal with the hardness of this steel you should be able to use that, or you can buy a more complex sharpener that sets up to work at different angles, I don't know what the factory edge is set at, but I'll take the effort to set it at 18 degrees. This type of steel is supposedly best in the range of 16 - 22 degrees. Since I'm not dealing with any materials that are hard I can get away with 18. I set kitchen knives at 14 degrees so it's still a more durable edge than kitchen knives. I think this will end up being my EDC since it's easy to deal with this with one hand for both opening and closing the blade and that's my main concern. It's also a good size for what I'd call a medium size blade, so it's easy to carry.

I love their knives and haven’t disappointed yet. Their knives are definitely worth it
Great quality, and dependable. This is my 5th CJRB folding knife and I have not been anything but impressed and thankful to the company. I have a really hard time paying $140 for a 3-4 inch spydercojust for the name. The first CJRB that I ordered was just me blindly ordering a knife without reading reviews or anything at all. I ordered a CJRB, a Vosteed and a Civivi at the same time and the CJRB is the one that i keep in my packet EVERY DAY. I would recommend these knives to any and everyone. I will be ordering more because I love the quality, the price, the feel, and the designs. They come razor sharp and easy opening with a very smooth opening. The others that I have really good spines and easy to close. If you buy one you won’t regret it. I’ll give them a 5 ⭐️ and would give them a 10 if I could. Why did you pick this product vs others?: quality and price

quality control at reasonable price
I picked up a CJRB Crag (?) 7 months ago based on an article I read about small American companies that have been making their knives in China and overseeing QC. This led to another article about Chinese companies putting out their own knives and maintaining the same level of quality that the companies contacting (like Kershaw for ex.) Anyway- I'm not even sure if cjrb is fully independent but I know it's related to Artisan Cutlery. The point is, The Crag cleaver blade blew me away on most levels and I'm sure I'd get push back but I think it compares favorably to my Spyderco and an old Benchmade. (I know... heresy) So, I haven't used this modified sheep's foot blade that much yet but I can tell that the same things I like about the Crag I like about this. Extremely smooth and quick exit with flip. (plus this has the added thumb oval to flick and the very sweet button lock) So, it's pretty amazing what you can get for < $50. I'm impressed. And at 65 with literally dozens of knives over a lifetime of vanity l cabinet maker and carver it's nice to buy something priced like this exceed expectations. Twice. -⁹ô

Lots of good and only a little needs improvement
I like the solid aluminum build quality, the shape of the blade, and the sharpness out of the box. The button lock is solid, holding the extended blade firmly locked in place, but easily unlocking. The deep pocket clip holds tight in your pocket, but with the screws being mounted flush with the clip and the smooth aluminum sides, it doesn't wear out the hem of your pocket. A press of the lock button and a flick of the wrist deploys the blade with a satisfying click. I have one wish on the knife. It would be a big improvement if it had a thumb stud on the blade, as other models of Pyrites do. I didn't notice that this model doesn't come with a thumb stud when I ordered it. Not a big deal but definitely missed. There is one problem. The detent doesn't grab the blade when you unlock the blade and flip it closed reliably. It often bounces back it. (See video) I have seen some other models of Pyrite reliable click into the detent and hold the blade closed.

Insane quality for this price!
I recently purchased both the wharncliffe and drop point version of the pyrite, and I’m absolutely blown away by the quality of these knives! I have owned many folding knives, ranging in value from $20 to $300 custom knives, and these Pyrites are hands-down the best in every category. The design is brilliant; action, lockup, blade centering are all perfect; overall fit-and-finish has been flawless. In fact, I believe the only compromise when compared to a $300+ folder is in the blade steel; however, even in that regard, my experience with RPM-9 has been overwhelmingly positive! No chipping, no corrosion, very respectable edge retention, and sharpening/stropping is easy (which i certainly can’t say for my s110v, magnacut or 20cv blades). Buy this knife!

Beautiful, Inexpensive Gentleman's Folder
Action is butter. More spydieflickable than most spydercos. Button lock easy to time for deploy or close. Well balanced with Ti scales. Fit and finish great. Purple accent on pivot and screws reminiscent of tanzanite, but not gaudy. Good to great slicer considering geometry, came sharp, full deep carry clip. Not a hard use knife, even though medium blade stock, and scales are slippery. Perfect for office edc and can dress up to white tie. Can't tell how finish will wear or judge the steel yet as have only had for a day, but it took a stupid sharp edge with .5 micron and bare leather strop... considering another one in micarta or G10 for town/everyday edc.
