In this big-screen Ninjago adventure, the battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja (Dave Franco), along with his friends, who are all secret warriors and LEGO Master Builders. Led by kung fu master Wu (Jackie Chan), as wisecracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon (Justin Theroux), the Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their true power.Bonus Content:- Team Supreme: Building NINJAGO - Rumble in the Bricks - Rebrick Contest Winners - Mini Movies: Shark E. The cast is loaded. The storyline is enjoyable. The characters are entertaining. Definitely a must have for a family movie night. Review: AWESOME MOVIE - "The LEGO Ninjago Movie" is a delightful addition to the LEGO cinematic universe, delivering a fun-filled adventure that appeals to both kids and adults alike. Visual Spectacle (★★★★★): From the moment the film begins, the visual brilliance of the LEGO world shines through. The attention to detail in every LEGO piece and the vibrant, colorful environments are a treat for the eyes. The action sequences are incredibly well-animated, and the blend of CGI and stop-motion effects captures the essence of LEGO play with perfection. Engaging Storyline (★★★★☆): While the plot may not be as emotionally resonant as some of the other LEGO movies, "The LEGO Ninjago Movie" still manages to provide an engaging and humorous narrative. The story follows a group of young ninjas led by Lloyd, also known as the Green Ninja, as they try to save their city from the villainous Lord Garmadon, who also happens to be Lloyd's estranged father. The father-son dynamic adds depth to the story, although it doesn't reach the same emotional heights as "The LEGO Movie" or "The LEGO Batman Movie." Character Development (★★★★☆): The film explores themes of family, friendship, and self-discovery. The characters, while initially presented as LEGO archetypes, undergo personal growth throughout the movie. The voice acting is top-notch, with standout performances from Dave Franco as Lloyd and Justin Theroux as Lord Garmadon. Humor and References (★★★★☆): As with other LEGO films, "The LEGO Ninjago Movie" is packed with humor that works on multiple levels. Kids will enjoy the physical comedy and slapstick moments, while adults will appreciate the clever references to pop culture and previous LEGO movies. The balance between humor for kids and adults is well-maintained, making it a family-friendly movie. Memorable Music (★★★★☆): The soundtrack, featuring "The Weekend Whip" by The Fold, is catchy and suits the ninja theme perfectly. It adds to the movie's energy and keeps the audience engaged throughout. Conclusion: "The LEGO Ninjago Movie" may not reach the same storytelling heights as its predecessors, but it delivers a ninja-tastic adventure that's a lot of fun to watch. The impressive animation, engaging characters, and well-crafted humor make it an enjoyable cinematic experience for both kids and adults. If you're a fan of LEGO and lighthearted, action-packed adventures, then this movie is a must-see. While it may not be the most profound LEGO film, it certainly knows how to entertain and bring the world of Ninjago to life in a blocktastic way.

NOT like the show at all, but that's okay...
The show: An wonderful action and adventure serial drama with a little comedy. The movie: Hilarious comedy; different character back stories, different voices, different character styling, and Lloyd's mom isn't even the same name or character at all. Verdict: If you go in as a series fan you will be angered and disappointed. If you go in like this is an entirely alternate story that isn't related at all to the series, it's legit funny and awesome. The movie was fired from the Lego Movie cannon, (think Lego Batman movie and Avengers shorts) or should I say Lego Volcano!

Underrated Movie, for Kid's and Young Adults
One of my favorite movies as a kid, still one of my favorite movies now. Excellent image and animation, solid corny and out-of-pocket humor.

I was not expecting much from this film honestly, and to me it seemed like a very weak IP to make a new stand-alone Lego film. However, it is full of charm, clever writing, plenty of humor, and everything from the show that my kids enjoy. It is a great family film, and the 3D just makes it even more immersive. :)

Pros...fast shipping and my son was thrilled with the movie. Cons...some of the content felt too grown up for a 5 year old. I guess it’s common these days...but if I had watched it first, I likely would have passed. (To be fair...I’m pretty strict about the type of content kids read or watch. I believe most families would be okay with it.)
