We bought these for a different purpose which was to make the sharp foot rest bars of our barstools not hurt our bare feet. They are nice pottery barn barstools we received for free so we didn't want to just get rid of them but they were definitely designed with shoe wearing guests in mind. I cut them into pieces and sliced one side of each piece to slip them over the foot rest bars. Worked like a charm and now we can comfortably use our bar stools. Nice thickness and easy to cut/slice. The foot rest bars were a flat rectangular metal and the slightly flattened shape of this insulation was the perfect fit.

I use this for many purposes and especially works great for handle padding. More rugged and heat resistant than polyethylene tubing too.

Used these over 1" wood dowels in wall rack to protect exotic hardwood canes

Good quality. Quite durable and isily unable.

Totally used for something else. It worked out just fine.

Wasn't as I expected,do gave them to my son . Wanted to use as a craft for me ,no wouldn't buy again !

WORKED FOR WHAT I NEEDED

Used this to keep the vamp elevated in my Cowboy Boots. Shoe trees stretched my boots out. Just needed a firm elevation to eliminate the sag and this did the trick. Cut it in half for one pair of boots, two folds on square toe boots and three folds on round toe boots. These extra length is tucked back down with the u-bend on top and super easy removal. Try it!
