Oh my was shipping fast on this! It's was not available for Amazon Prime shipping when I bought it so I ordered it from WAYFAIR on the 18th and it arrived on the 20th!! The screen comes in one package all tightly & securely shipped. No damage other than the casing itself seems a little warpped or twisted from one side to the other. Like some grabbed hold of each end and twisted in opposite directions just a tad. I needed a screen because of a move in houses and the new projector location wasnt near a blank wall to project on. So after reading a TON of reviews here on amazon I took the plunge with this ELITE screen. I got it hanging from the ceiling after buying hooks to screw into the beams. This took about a hour only cause I was taking my time. You could do it in 5 minutes if you didnt care about alinement. The projector comes with the ability to be hung from the ceiling or flat against the wall. I've read about the smell but mine only smelt new. Nothing off putting just that lovely smell of newness. Operantion is simple. You pull down until it doesn't go any further and then locks into place. For the SRM to work on retraction you just pull down about an half inch and it then automatically goes back up slowly and securely. Now for performance the picture looks great!! Previous projector use for me was on a blank white wall and then upgraded to use projector paint on the wall. This is my first projector screen and it doesn't disappoint. The picture is bright, crisp, sharp! It truley looks outstanding. With the lights down low the picture just pops! The white casing blends into the ceiling which helps conceal it when the screen is not in use. I am very, very happy with product. If you see no updates it only means I haven't had any problems and am still enjoying this purchase.

We ordered this screen to make it convenient to use. It pulls down from our ceiling and the Slow Return Mechanism (SRM) works great. Just a little tug and up it goes. I was concerned about how to mount in on our ceiling (It is nearly 10 feet long) but when the screen arrived I pleased to see that Elite has enhanced the mounting brackets so you can attach each mounting bracket to a ceiling joist and when the screen is installed you can slide it through the brackets to the location you choose. Tighten a screw under each bracket and that's it. Great Enhancement!! My wife is enjoying watching some awesome National Park videos. Happy wife, happy life.

It seems like these screens are a gamble. For the price, it's not ... bad. I've got three strikes against this product though. Mine arrived with a dent on the metal. The box was fine, but the metal was dented. Not a severe dent, though. Also, the metal flared out a bit around the opening. I was able to massage and bend the metal by hand a bit, and now you can't really see any flaw with the metal casing unless you're right on it. So, problem mitigated, but a quality issue nonetheless. Installation wasn't bad, however the sides rise above the top of the casing - so it didn't mount flush with the ceiling. In my basement, I've only got 6'10" of clearance, so this wasted some space at the top. Still, though, not a big deal. Just another minor detail. The third strike is the one that really bugs me, though. The projected image (full-screen 16:9) has waves on it. Most noticeable when using a computer on the display, or watching a station like CNBC with a ticker. Also in movies with subtitles, sometimes the subtitles look like they're on a wave rather than straight. The screen doesn't hang flat. I used my laser level to hang this, and confirmed the screen is mounted perfectly level. (I had assumed other reviewers might not have had a level mount.) Also, the documentation recommended leaving the screen down in a warm room for a period of time. Done, yet the waves are still there. Another reviewer mentioned that "tensioner" screens are the way to go. Wish I had seen that review before buying. I would have likely wound up buying a fixed configuration screen. I will probably wind up fashioning my own tensioning solution. In the meantime though, I've got a screen that's ... OK, but a bit of a letdown. Would've gladly paid more and purchased something else to have something better. 2.5 stars out of 5, rounded down to 2 stars since I feel this product is currently overrated on Amazon. Oh, also, my delivery window was 9am to 9pm. That wasn't very convenient...

Reading some of the other reviews I want worried that it would be wrinkly or creased but I took a chance because it's a good deal. No problems with mine. Build quality is good, nice and flat. Slow return works great. Amazing value for $400.

I am using this screen with Optoma HD27. Easy to install. Image clarity is awesome. I don't see any issues with the image quality. Image is clearly visible from side view also. This is my best buy so far.

I am using it with my 4K projector. I believe only this screen can do justice with a 4K projector. Since it is using fiberglass material, there is no visible wave.

マックスホワイト「FG」は流石に平面性が優れている。以前使っていた吊り下げ式のスクリーンは景色を横に流す画面では、明らかにスクリーンが波打っている場所があって興ざめしたが、本商品はそれが全くない。更に、何故か長時間見ていても目が疲れないところが良い。 電動でなくても、収納はスムーズにできます。スクリーンを下ろすのも簡単です。本体の重量を考えると壁の強度が心配なので、カッコ良さは犠牲にしてもこれで充分でしょう。 注意すべき点は次の３点。 1、意外に重い。壁が壊れるのではないかと心配して先ず壁に板を打ち付けてその板にスクリーンを取り付けた。また、この程度の重さでも本体が長いので余程の怪力の持ち主でない限り、一方の端を持って取り付け次にもう一方に取り掛かるというのは一人では難しい。私はチェーンを使って一方を仮に吊り下げ、もう一方を正式に取り付け、再び仮に吊り下げた方を正式に取り付けた。それでも余程正確に穴の位置を計測して決めておかないと穴が合わなくて苦労する。 ２、壁に取り付ける穴とネジがしっかり保てるかどうか不安になる。本体が重いので外れることはないと思うが地震でもあると簡単に外れそうだ。この取り付け方式を改善してほしいので星一つ減。 ３、テレビはスクリーンの画面にピッタリ合うが、ブルーレイの映画などは上下が切れることがあり、意外に小さく見える。スクリーンサイズから考えて想定内とは言え少し残念。しかし私の６畳の間ではこのサイズが限界。
