I get plenty of battery life in my macbook pro. I dont use it that much, its mostly just a netflix device, but battery seems fine on it. The instillation was somewhat complex, but thats more an issue with apple themselves, not the battery. You can get around removing the entire motherboard by flexing it up at the bottom (take out some screws to relieve pressure) which saves a whole lot of time In total it took me around 10-15 mins to remove old and add in new, but I do have laptop / iphone experience, so a new user may need more time Does what it needs and a great price.

I have been experiencing poor battery performance on my 2018 model for some time now. Apple's proposed repair costs were prohibitive, so I considered purchasing a new MacBook instead. However, someone suggested that I replace the battery myself. I must admit, the installation process was challenging and took me around three hours. Instead of relying solely on the included instructions, I followed a YouTube tutorial. While the kit came with some tools, I needed additional micro tools to remove everything to reach the battery and install it. These tools can be obtained inexpensively online. Removing the original battery was also difficult, but I used glue sticker remover and a plastic tool to do so. Once it was removed, I simply connected the new battery and secured it in place using the supplied adhesive pads. After installation, the battery charged and discharged normally, just like the original. Overall, I am delighted with the outcome and would recommend anyone to attempt this repair themselves. It requires some patience and attention to detail, but it is feasible.

So I didn't follow the instructions given at all as I had a good youtube video that was better. Was nerve wrecking but replacement went smoothly, just be patient and don't rush anything, took me just under 4 hours. only been in there for about an hour and it's charging and holding charge fine haven't tested it much though it seems positive. The adhesive attached to the batterys is garbage though I genuinely pressed down a tonne (that I thought was safe to not damage the new batterys) and even so when it was all closed up you can hear the side ones rattling around 😂. I'll buy some seriously strong double sided tape and should be as good as new but that involves opening it again and all that when it should stick straight out the packet. Cant complain though as it came with all the screws necessary and other things you'll need and seems to work so not complaining

This battery has been hardcoded to show 102% mah capacity, yet its performance resemble nothing of a new battery. In fact it discharges just as fast as the old original Apple battery at 68% capacity that it replaced. It also shows manufacture date as April 2015. Install was a breeze though, good instructions. For the record, I have reset SMC and NVRAM without any improvement. Would not recommend.

This computer is the worst Apple product design for sure. So you better get prepared. When everything was finished, my MacBook Pro booted and gives 2% more battery capacity than Apple states by default. So that seems nice. BUT then the disaster began: 1. the charging port on the left of the computer does not work anymore 2. the charger gets incredibly hot and this was never the case 3. the battery indicator in the menu bar is always wrong (shows charging when there is no charger) 4. contacting this seller means you never get an answer 5. after 6 weeks the display of the MacBook Pro has died, there is no image 6. one day later the SSD is not readable anymore, not even in target disk mode Do not purchase these batteries. Go to Apple. It costs 285 euro, but honestly: you do not have another option. Or purchase a Samsung laptop, which is designed to be repaired. As opposed to the Apple Macbooks! Samsung publishes easy-to-follow videos that enable you to do many repairs of the laptop yourself. From a sustainability standpoint, every electronics manufacturer should do that.

2025年7月現在 ターミナルで以下のコマンドを実行したところ、アンペア数が異常値を示しました。 ioreg -w0 -l | grep -i "Voltage" それもそのはず、現在、突然半分を切ったあたり(10-40%)で急なシャットダウンが起こるようになりました。中華バッテリーはやはりガチャなのでしょうか…。 昔のMacのように交換が楽な構造であれば、何度でも交換できるのですが。 2023年7月購入時 修理当日は問題なく動作しています。このまま問題なく動かせればいいなと願っています。付属しているペンタローブドライバはゴミです。ネジが回らなさそうだったので、急いで代わりになるドライバを入手して事なきを得ました。
