Tripped PSU short circuit protection and difficult to insert / remove in 4090
First off I want to say I really wanted this to work as it would have went perfect with the white case I have for my PC.So I unhooked the OEM NVIDIA power adapter and went to plug this one in. Odd, I thought it should just go right on in, it's lined up! It took a bit of pressure for it to actually go in but it was latched and everything was good to go and in place. I hook up my PSU GPU power cables to the pigtails, turn back on the PSU, press the power button annnnnnd *click* I hear my PSU activating its short circuit protection and not cutting on the PC. Hmmm, maybe one of the pigtail connections is loose, so I redo the pigtail connections repeat turning on the PC and... same thing. Go to remove the cable from the GPU and holding open the latch I am pulling and have to start increasing how hard I'm pulling and I'm at the point where I'm getting uncomfortable putting this much strain on the connection when it finally lets go of my 4090.This cable says it works on the 40 series cards. but the OEM NVIDIA power cable for my 4090 has 4 pigtails to hookup to, not just 3. I did verify with leaving the cable installed in the GPU and unhooking the pigtail that the PC would power on, so clearly something with this cable was causing a short my PSU caught and wouldn't provide power to the PC because of.
