look, these series booklets for learning piano are great, as long as you buy the proper order of the booklets and match them up properly, this is the best instruction I ever had for learning piano even though I'm an adult

I love using Alfred's All In One with my students. They are between the ages of 8-13. The theory lessons built into the book make is easier for them to learn their theory along with their music pieces- without the need for a separate workbook. I often supplement with additional pieces my students want to learn when they become advanced enough to do so. It's a great system and I've been teaching with it for four years. Covers all the basics and progresses at a decent pace- which helps prevent my students from becoming bored.
