Seems to be sturdy so far
I bought this to replace my ageing B&D which finally gave up the ghost. I wanted something sturdy and reliable, and this seems fine on the jobs so far. It didn’t like driving a large masonry bit, which came slack in the chuck, but I suspect I exceeded the maximum recommended size. As I was just clearing out an older hole, I thought I would get away with it… I like the quality and length of the supplied cable, and the general feel of the tool inspires confidence.

Very well made with good features.
I like the proper keyed chuck and the hammer action feature, also it has reverse and variable speed on the trigger.

Good Value
Add on handle and dept stop, variable speed and reverse with 13mm keyed chuck was my requirement. I like Makita and needed a replacement for my battery Makita drill. Amazon has not stocked Makita in the past. Please to see it.

Way better than my old drill
Good: solid construction; easy to control drill speed; proper chuck with key; seems a very professional piece of kit; NOT made in authoritarian China. Bad: Ideally it would have been slightly lighter - but you make your compromises

A great drill with a reasonable level of hammer action when required. Half the battle is to also have a good set of drill bits to go with the drill. I find the chuck works excellently with no slipping and is still easy to remove the bits when finished. It does the job! No complaints.
