The card reader is really easy to use and super convenient! I was a bit wary because reading through reviews, I became aware that many people had issues with the required app and setup process but I've had no such issues. The reader works consistently and lasts me for a whole day out busking without having to recharge. It makes it much easier to take payments and donations without having to rely on people carrying cash! Its not rated for water resistance but a little rain exposure hasn't damaged it yet in my experience and I'll be using this for the foreseeable future!

I have acquired this square card reader for use by a non-profit organization to finally enable us to take card payments at our fundraising events. As part of this we needed to set up a square account, it was simple enough however it took some time (about a week) for all details to be checked, validated and all set up, so do bear that in mind if you are aiming to get set up with this for an event. Having got our account set up and app downloaded it was very simple to connect the reader to the app and take a payment. One nice feature is you can have the app installed and logged in on multiple phones and the reader can connect to each of those devices, so if there are a few of you working on a stall in shifts you can move the reader between phones without needing to give someone else your phone, again ideal for non-profits. Payments went through smoothly and deposited in our bank account without issue. Overall impressed how relatively easy it was to get set up and going to take card payments at our events.

Very poor machine doesn't work brand new.Spark to customer service very poor customer service wouldn't let me speak to the manager about the problem with the machine the machine doesn't work. I try explain them to I could not connect it to my phone then they told me to do going to my settings and do different different things it wasn't helpful because it was still the machine was not working so for that reason the customer service is very poor we asked for a refund and they refuse the refund they said there's nothing wrong with the machine, but the machine is clearly not work. It's not connecting to my phone and they refused for me to put a complaint in and refused me to basically two stuff with our advise you to get this machine

Wow what's great piece of kit. This is so easy to setup, you just need to try it to believe it. Everything you need is included. Your mobile is used as the pin key pad via the app which is free to download. Everything is setup within the app, you can download the app in advance so you can get a feel for it. You associate the bank account that you want the money to be transferred to within the app, and they take 1.69% to process it. Within the app you can take payment via contactless, chip and pin or swipe. You can refund directly from the app. Customise your receipts which can be sent to customers as SMS or email. You can add the function to add tips and you can create custom items with assigned prices for a faster transaction. Overall this is amazing for traders who don't what to spend a fortune setting up a point of sale system. Bought this for my new business and it is really good, connects to my phone via blutooth and is quick and easy to set up - I like that you can change the account the reader is linked to so I can use it for personal and business accounts. Highly rate this product. seems a steal at £22.99
