flexi New Classic Retractable Lead Tape, Small, 5 m, Red

Absolutely perfect. I have a Labrador who loves to run off, but can't be trusted off lead. This is soooo long that he definitely is able to go on his sniffing adventures securely. He can pull like mad, but this is super sturdy and can hold him. Doesn't tangle and retracts easily. I was very hesitant because of the cost, but trust me it is well worth the money.

we got this lead a few years ago as it's the only lead that is suitable for our st Bernard. It's very good and has lasted perfectly these few years and sure no signs of wearing out. This purchase is for our second St Bernard as the current one is still going strong (I have opened it and cleaned the bearing a bit) The only issue is now the lead has a tendency to flip and introduce a fold in the lead meaning that it no longer reels in properly and you have to reel it out and manually flip the lead tape back over. The newer lead didn't suffer quite so much from this so much. The tape is quite easily strong enough to hold him, as are the ratchets of the bobin and the lock mechanism. You just need to make sure the collar or harness is equally tough 🙂 Handle is comfortable to hold although not quite big enough to put my hands through with big gloves. Design is a classic Flexi style with a 'stop' button and lock initiated and released all with the thumb. The only thing I would wish to see is a tough d ring to attach a carabineer to allow the lead to be looped around trees or benches when stopped and lead is locked. Or even to hang a poo bag holder from. I just added my own per the pic.

Have used a Flexi cord lead for many years but whose locking mechanism had become unreliable. Decided to replace with same. The new unit is the same very high quality as the old unit. However whilst both units are sized “Small”, the new unit is smaller in every respect, and that includes the handle, which is so small it cannot be held in a four fingered grip for very long as too uncomfortable. Unfortunately the “Medium” is significantly larger and quite heavy, and not particularly suited to an 11kg cocker. The design appears to assume “small dog, small owner”.

Tried cheaper versions before, This is the best. strong, doesn't tangle, retraction and locking good. Nice and bright so can be noticed by others

I have dogs more than 10 years and I always bought Flexi as it was recommended for me by other dog owners. I bought a new leash, as I want to adopt a third dog. All my Flexi leashes still work, I am vey satisfied with the product general. I wish more colour would be available with the 8m/26 ft tape.

Love them, have 2.comfy in your hand, good length, strong and easy to clean. Not broke one yet and they never tangle.

Used twice daily for three months now and it’s fabulous. Other users say their dog has chewed through it but when attached to a harness and constantly winding in and out there is no chance to chew it. Robust, good quality, well priced. Great stuff!

Second purchase of this lead. Excellent quality.

My dog chewed through the leash in 10 minutes of first use.
