Who would think a four stroke chain saw would perform as well as a 2 stroke of same size?
I have used a chainsaw most of my adult life including 3 years professionally. 4 stroke engine technology has improved to the point that this saw impressed me. Build quality seems good and the saw cuts like a champ. My previous chainsaw I used for 27 years for light duty around the house was the same displacement size engine (46 cc) but a traditional 2 stroke. This chainsaw builds power at a much lower engine speed and although it does not run as fast (probably 70% engine speed compared to most 2 stroke chainsaws), the cutting speed does not seem that much slower. This chainsaw was packaged well and instructions are simple to operate. Weight of this saw compared to my previous chainsaw is a small amount heavier, but is balanced well. Size of this saw also is small amount larger (engine assembly), but neither the weight or size seems to affect general use compared to my previous chainsaw. Overall I used this chainsaw 1.5 hours 1st use and have to saw I am a fan. The engine has enough compression that for me required I place on ground with a foot holding it when pull starting. It starts easily and I don't feel uncomfortable allowing engine to idle (a benefit of a 4 stroke is less likely to "load up" if allowed extended idle time) as I move/stack wood. Engine noise level is less especially at full throttle compared to most other chainsaws.

Best chainsaw Ever!
This is a great chainsaw! Easy to start, four stroke, no more mixing gas and oil! Lower RPM but plenty of torque to cut right through a 10-in ash tree. I was impressed with how much gas it holds. At this price it was cheaper than repairing my old chainsaw! I like being impressed, thank you.

Absolute JUNK!
Got this 18” chainsaw in January ‘24 and I just got around to use it. Ran it for almost 10 minutes before it sputtered and died. Made sure fluids were good and followed manual for troubleshooting. It would not turn over at all. In the process of starting the pull cord broke! Contacted Senix and it took them almost two weeks to respond with a email asking for the information and pictures that I already sent in the original email. Sent another email and never heard from them again. It’s been almost a month! Oh, they don’t answer their phone either! DO NOT BUY SENIX PRODUCTS… They are junk and customer service doesn’t exist! Get yourself a Husqvarna and save yourself from the insanity!

It works
Pleasantly surprised. Feels strange at first, being a 4 cycle engine. Im more used to the high rpm screaming of a typical 2 cycle engine. After some richening of the fuel/air mixture, the machine cuts thru logs as well as a 2 cycle, but at lower rpms and no mixing of gas and lube oil. Some folks will probably not like it, but I enjoy using mine and my other 2 cycle machines are gathering dust.

Big saw...small price
Exactly what I needed for our new property. So many limbs and small trees to cut.

Great Chainsaw for the money and good support from the dealer in NC.
I bought this because I needed to trim some tree limbs hanging over the roof of my house. I thought the bar and chain looked a bit 'medium duty', so I probably would not recommend for cutting down large trees, but for cutting limbs and smaller trees this baby really cuts. It made short work of the first task I had for it and ran and restarted very well after the initial startup (granted I think new motors are a bit harder to start at first and need to be run for a few minutes to get everything lubed up). The manual did not specify the engine oil type so I called the Senix dealer and was told to use either 10W-30 or SAE 30; just so I would know when it comes time to add or change oil. It was great that a person answered the phone when I called to I feel confident that I can get help with this chainsaw if I ever need it.

Chainsaw and company are crap.
I have a “no 2 cycle engine” policy and was excited to find this 4 cycle chainsaw to replace my electric one. I prepped the chainsaw as per the instructions and began my weeks long quest to get this POS started. I followed the instructions to the tee, even though I was a mechanic for many years and have several small 4 cycle engines and know how they work - and how they can be tricky to get started. After a couple of unsuccessful days of pulling, I finally broke down and called the companies’ product support line, which was unmanned. I left a detailed message with my phone number so they could get back to me. That was three weeks ago. No call back as of 10/07/24. Each day I go out and try to start it, trying different techniques as well as the companies’ instructions. I even found a YouTube video and tried to start it exactly as he did, to no avail. At this point I have a pretty blue oil and gas filled paperweight, as it is obviously defective. If you decide to buy this chainsaw, just keep in mind there will be no product support and it is not returnable - Opt for the warranty, as I did not. Luckily I bought mine on sale, so I’m only out $160.
