Very sharp blades. I bought this for personal use in house - a sharp scissor without worrying to injure myself with accidental poking. The handle designed works well with both left and right hander. The blades so far are great. Do not know how long the plastic handle is going to last. Bottom line, it does what you need it to do safely (to an extend of course).
