Far better than anticipated...they really help with wrist/thumb discomfort!
These don't look like much when you get them...they're small and thin and look like they aren't going to hold up at all, and that they are too light to do much good. I was very skeptical when opened the package. After a week of wearing them every time I was using a keyboard or my cell phone, (so pretty much all day every day) I'm ready to give a fair review. I'm a "senior" female who has had many HARD jobs in her life, and my hands and wrists show it. I have no been officially diagnosed with Carpel Tunnel or Tendonitis ( it could be either or both) but I do have pain and some weakness in my wrists and thumbs, especially after some time on the keyboard, and even more when I use my phone to play games. ( so I kind of deserve it for participating in those giant time-sucks) These really do provide light but firm support, and they have noticeably reduced the pain while I'm wearing them, but there also seems to be some residual effect because wrist pain when I flex my wrist in my sleep isn't waking me up at night now. ( I don't wear them to bed. Yet.) They are comfortable to wear all day; the fabric is light and breathable and is somehow both stretchy and not. Getting them on and off is a bit of a challenge, but practice makes that easier...they have to be a little tight to do the job. I have fairly large paws for a woman, and my wrists measure exactly 6.5 inches, so I could have gone with either medium or small. I went with small, because I figured that tighter would be good for such lightweight looking supports. It was definitely a chore to get those tiny things over my big mitts the first time but they do relax a tiny bit with use and washing....not a ton, but a little. When I wear this pair out I may try the mediums just to see if they work as well and are a bit easier to get off and on. Oh and as for washing? I work with my hands in "none-to-clean" situations since I live on a farm, so washing them is a must! I've taken two approaches to this: if they get skanky pretty early in the day, I just leave them on and wash my hands like normal...that way I get the surface grime off, and they dry quickly while I'm wearing them. I've also washed them out in the bathroom basin with mild soap and hung them to dry overnight and that works well too...I have not noticed any shrinkage from washing, but I certainly would NOT put them in a dryer! Overall I'm quite pleased with these, and I have tried any number of other styles of wrist supports that did nothing positive, were bulky, hot, were very hard to put on. For me anyway, they actually do help so I'd certainly recommend trying them if other supports haven't worked for you, or just if you are starting to feel some problems and would like to try something inexpensive and comfortable that provides light/medium support, you could sure do worse. then giving these a try.

I was Skeptical but it Really Helps!
I'd been having pain and stiffness in my right thumb for nearly two months. I researched and learned that treatment would start with a soft brace, move to a stiff brace if that didn't work, next a cortisone shot in the wrist if that didn't work, and finally there is surgery available if nothing else works. Thought I'd give this soft brace a shot - when it came in I was skeptical. I'd read the reviews and even got a notice that it was a highly returned item but it seemed to me that the negative reviews were all about sizing. I have a largeish wrist (in my mind), it measures 6 1/2 but I can't stand a bracelet that's less than 7 1/2" (7" is too tight) so I was a little nervous about the size chart listed + reviews. I ordered a small and it's perfect, snug and I have to tug to get it on, but the compression is perfect. It's lightweight and comfortable to wear all day. I've been putting it on late morning for the last few days and wearing it until bedtime. I'm impressed with the difference - this thumb brace has really helped reduce the inflammation and pain that I was beginning to really worry about!

Exactly as expected
I have small hands and ordered a small. It's soft and comfortable and fits perfectly. I bought it to wear under a a proper thumb brace which was chaffing a bit. Those who gave this a poor rating because it didn't offer any support baffles me. It's a sleeve not a brace. Having said that, I've slept with just the sleeve on and it's been remarkably effective. I wake up with no pain. The only criticism is putting it on and taking it off. I have to fold my hand in the vary position that causes me pain. Unavoidable. I'm very satisfied with my purchase

Run large
Too big and not tight…….doesn’t do a thing. Probably should have ordered a small, but am an adult woman with medium size hands, so I ordered medium. but the thumb portion doesn’t come up the thumb, like in the photo.

Just ok
too thin. Does not keep my thumb from bending. It is thicker around the wrist which is good but the thumb part is too thin and dosen't help with trigger thumb. Easy to use but not much compression.

No real support - EDIT - Better than I initially thought
I so badly needed this to work for arthritis in my right thumb/wrist. I measured my wrist and bought the recommended size, It compresses nicely at the bottom of the wrist and at the thumb knuckle (not where I need support), but where I need the support (at the base of the thumb) there is no compression. Going down in size would make it too tight. Disappointing. EDIT: My review was based on my initial try-on of the product, just slipping it on my hand. When the company contacted me and offered a refund, I accepted it. BUT I decided to give it another try and wear it for 24 hours. I realized I was wrong about it when I took if off after 24 hours. The brace provides just enough gentle compression to keep me from being constantly in pain at the basal joint of my thumb. I retract my above review and say that this could be the answer for someone who needs gentle compression for basal joint arthritis. It's low profile, lightweight, and can get wet. As long as it works, I hopefully can avoid surgery on that hand. I have contacted the company and asked them to cancel the refund.

Durable
This worked very well for me. I wore it for about a week and my thumb felt better.

Very thin, stretchy
I bought this (actually a two-pack) to cushion the Push thumb brace for my CMC arthritis. The brace works well but the edges are hard and kind of sharp so I wanted to pad them with this sleeve. Don't buy this sleeve for support as it is quite thin and very elastic - provides no support at all. Anyway, the band fits fine but does not cover the entire area of the brace so the outer edge (toward the fingers) is not protected at all. My skin is often pinched at the outer edge - by the thumb - and the inner edge - edge of the palm below the pinkie finger.
