Love these! I really like the measurements on the side of the jars. So easy to clean and has a great lid that seals. The design is great for sourdough starter.

I really like this product! It was packaged to prevent breakage. It has a decent, solid feel to the glass (not fragile) and it came with the perfect accessories to make sourdough. The included pictures show everything in the package. Also included is what it looks like after the Day 1 sourdough start. I used the instructions in the booklet included in the package. I would especially recommend this to anyone who is starting the sourdough journey for the first time. 05/02/23 Update: I have totally loved using these jars. So much that I bought two more so it’s very easy to keep clean jars. I forgot to mention the thermometers that come with the package. Sometimes they register the exact temperature on my house thermostat OR it’s within 1-2° different. They really thought of everything- I couldn’t be happier!

As I've learned more and have some experience with my starter, I've realized that the large size of the jars, that there are 2 of them, and that any scrap container I've had lying around could work fine for starter. That said, the quality is great and instructions worked. I'll be switching to smaller plastic container to clean easier. I really like the spatulas and the cloth lids as well.

Love, love, love these! The wide mouth makes it easy to pour in pre-measured dough and water, as well as trying to scoop out sourdough discard. Having the cloth cover is intriguing - better to have it rather than having bugs and to provide some (safe) air exchange. I haven't included the temp strips to the jars, as I do (more often than not) throw the jars in the dishwasher for sanitary reasons and aggravating build up. (Note: Company only suggests handwashing, but for me - there is only so much I can handwash and feel confident in re-using.)

Jars are good, but the seal to the lids came off within a couple of months, so now my jars aren’t properly sealed.

I love the size of these containers. They are perfect for feeding the starter and storing in the fridge. They don't take up as much room as the wide mouth jars. The feeding tracker band is extra handy to remember when it was last fed! These would make great gifts for new sourdough entrepreneurs!
