As GP ST2, I found this book is excellent and outstanding resource for any doctor and especially for GP trainee, which helped me, improved dramatically my consultation, communication and interpersonal skills with patients. It has great clues, how to gather data, information and assess patients within 10 minutes. It has precious knowledge and techniques to improve clinical management skills. This book provides clear systematic template for structuring consultation in time. This book written in well structure way so it easy to follow. This book is key to success of MRCGP and asset for life. I highly recommend this book to all doctors and especially to GPs and GP trainee.

Excellent book helping you to structure your consultations, making them more patient centered and meaningful. It gives you many suggestions for questions to ask in your consultations, and how to extract useful from every stage of the consultation. Easy read and straightforward. Can read repeatedly and use it as a reference aid in my everyday consultations, to help me become a better consulter. Recommend to all GP trainees at any stage of your training.

I used several different books for my CSA/RCA revision. This book is by far the best, most useful and practical one, with lots of examples of phrases on how to ask about different things and explain diagnosis/management plans. All the sections are brilliant – gata-gathering, clinical management and interpersonal skills. The challenging consultations section at the end is excellent. Definitely recommend to all GP trainees at any stage of their GP training, particularly those preparing for their RCA.

This book has completely changed my game. as an IMG I've struggled to get through the present RCA. This book has given me the tools to become on par with the UK grads and I feel so confidant now. I get into all consultations with confidence now. from an disorganised doctor centred consulter I now consult in a systematic and patient centred way, completing all my consultations within 10 minutes.
