Best coffee maker we've ever owned.
Love this thing. Owned many different coffee makers. This is the best we owned. It does take a bit longer than usual to brew. And that is when using standard mode. Bold would take even longer. But if you're patient, it's not that bad. Display is nice and crisp. We use the single serve, the whole pot carafe, and Kcup. We make tea, loose tea, instant coffe, and ground coffe (single serve and pot). So I've used pretty much all of its features. Works fine without a hitch. Had it for a number of months so far and no issues. Parts dissasemble for easy dishwasher cleaning. Coffee and tea comes out great. This replaced our old coffee maker and electric tea kettle. Loose tea comes out wonderful. Sometimes we make tea from tea bags. Coffee comes out fine as well. Even use Kcup too. It uses any style of KCUP, generic as well. Simple to use as well. Just fill the resevoire with the amount you need each time you use the coffee maker and that is the amount that will come out. I prefer this to the ones where you have to choose a pre-determined size since mugs vary. This way you have your own choice of how much comes out. Really versatile and will generally replace most of your coffee and tea needs for most people.

It Works!
I recently came back to coffee after a 7 year hiatus: quit smoking cold turkey, but could not have done it successfully by continuing to drink coffee; a smoke and a cup of Joe, done after 40+ years. When I decided to enjoy coffee again, since I didn't want to buy it by the cup during this pandemic, I ordered some coffee online and fired up my old drip coffee maker. Ugh, so bitter and not hot: guess the old machine just quit at some point over the years. But I digress: after an insane amount of time spent searching for the right type of coffee maker, I found this and thought, this will give me one side that I'm accustomed to, and the option to try the newfangled single cup pod/coffee option. And, while I haven't yet tried the single cup side (waiting for some pods to be delivered), I've found the carafe side pretty easy to use and with great results. Just one more thing: enhance your coffee experience and get a frother. It makes for a really nice coffee house flavor, and adds that coffee house experience without the expense and virus potential. I'm happy!

Great, versatile coffeemaker
I bought this coffeemaker to replace the exact same one I’ve had for years. I looked at other coffee makers, but none had the versatility of this one. You can make a pot in the morning and have a single cup later in the day. I like adding the water to the machine before each use instead of having it just sit there in a reservoir. In the single serve area, you can use ready-made K cups, or you can use your own ground coffee in the special container that is included. You can fill a mug or even a travel cup. My only complaint was that the coffee maker I received did not come with the reusable coffee filter that was shown in the picture.

Good all round coffee maker with the flexibility to do a carafe or a cup
This is the second version of this coffee maker that we've bought - the first one hung in there for a good many years but the carafe water area top cover hinge broke so the cover flopped around and overall, the unit was looking pretty beat. They dressed this model up a little with some chrome trim around the base and some stainless in the area of the single cup brew. The chrome trim around the base was coming unstuck - the adhesive that they used to attach it wasn't holding the trim onto the base. I had to re-glue the trim to the base. Other than that, great features for a basic coffee maker, the ability to make a full carafe or a single cup. Makes a decent brew but nothing fancy...

Dependable, solid, great Coffee any which way you want it!
Really love a good cup of coffee. Have my favorites - Starbucks Cafe Verona and Sumatra and it doesn't matter if its from a pot, or K cup or in my travel mug, I prefer it brewed strong/bold. This coffee pot does the trick! I wanted coffee station in my room and this works very well. Set it up and forget it. It's been brewing for weeks now, every morning at 5:30 a.m. on the dot. The alarm goes off and I can smell the coffee! Rich, hot and brewed to perfection. No leaks and the directions point out what and how often to clean tips to keep it in top shape, no problem. This is a great coffee pot that can brew a single cup, a travel mug or a craft of coffee just the way you like it and keep it hot until you are comfortable happy and ready to take on a new day! OK new addition : one thing they could redesign... The area on the top of the coffee pot, let's the steam from the pot drift upward and you need to be careful where you rest your fingers so as to not burn them.

crack in the warming plate after only a year and a half
this coffee pot cracked on the warming plate after only a year and a half of use. I contacted the seller but they told me to contact the manufacturers. The manufacturers told me they couldn't give me a refund because it was a third-party purchase. Just want everyone to be aware that if you purchase this product from Amazon you cannot get a refund from the manufacturer or the seller. Other than the crack in the warming plate the coffee pot seems to work OK.

Perfect!
I was going to purchase a Keurig similar to this one. The price difference made me think twice and I decided on the Hamilton Beach Flex Brew. I love it!! My only hesitation was that the amount of water this one stores, but I feel the taste is better when the water gets used or doesn't remain in the coffee maker so I am pleased. The pot is large and brews fast. I love the 2hr shut off. Very easy to use. The Flex Brew is big. Many reviews complained that it would not fit under cabinets. It does fit. You'd just have to pull it out to fill the pot. I had to do that with my 12 cup Mr. Coffee so I do not see it as a deterrent. I do not have a lot of counter of space. I chose to put it on a separate cabinet, off of my counter top. Prior, I had a single and a regular coffee pot and was switching them out when I had company etc. It was a pain. I love always having the option of making one cup or 12 depending on what I want/need. Highly recommend!
