Can’t go wrong with gamakatsu!

I found these to be excellent performers for flossing sockeye salmon. J-hooks have a tendency to foul hook fish due to the nature of flossing. It happens. But circle hooks need an edge to set, ie a mount corner, and for the most part don't turn and set in bodies, fins, tails, etc. The protected point prevents that. I used to use Nautilus style and I still have a bunch of the, but have found that these SE inline Octopus hooks dig deeper into jaws and mouth tissue than the Nautilus, resulting in more landed fish. IMO, this is because these hooks use a thinner wire than Nautilus and just penetrate deeper.

I used a lot of circle hooks and love this hook. The fish hook themselves no jerking needed Works great for kids.

Very sharp and strong hooks. They work great down here in Florida.

They look good and legit at a good price. A bit concerning that the bottom of the package was open 🤔
