Quality old style kickers correct size as I remember great boots

Since I discovered these Kickers I live in them. I wear them with everything including dresses. I bought these as a back up as my other blue pair are a few years old. But they never seem to wear out. Much more comfortable than DM's and more adaptable. I was really pleased to find them here at such a good price. Tempted to get another pair while they are such good value.

I so wanted to love these, but they have a few problems: 1) They come without an insole, but huge amount of volume demands one (despite my high volume, wide feet). The insole genuinely looks missing without one, I don't think it is the design. Once I fitted one I had lying around, they were fine from the volume point of view. Given I swap insoles to something decent on all my walking boots / shoes, I had a few lying about. These don't need a quality insole, as I walk no more than about 6km at time in them, not 20+km. 2) Lovely red leather will bleed colour into your socks, so wear red socks! 3) Take an age, an absolute age to wear in - mine have been worn about 30 times (for at least an hour each time) over a few months and only just starting to get comfortable - they rubbed my skin raw a few times until I learned you need to tie them really tightly, then they just felt uncomfortable around the top of the boot. Now getting there, but not comfortable enough yet I could rate higher. What I like: 1) lovely wide fit 2) look great in red (once the laces have been changed and the shoes polished so the stitching isn't so noticeable). I use a mix of red and black laces, which I think looked better than pure red laces. 3) All leather uppers and good thick leather too (but probably the reason the shoes take an age to wear in). 4) Still look like new despite wearing (admittedly on and off because of comfort issues) - probably the advantage of the thick leather. I am still hoping they will get really comfortable and become what I was looking for at the start, as they look great and it is so hard to find men's all red footwear, especially of decent quality. Others have said they are fakes, but I'm pretty sure the ones I have are genuine, having found none of the tell tale signs of fakes.
