Henckels Silvano 45-pc 18/10 Stainless Steel Flatware Set

I've been searching for quality casual flatware. Searched, read reviews, and skeptical. Then I saw this product, read the reviews, and purchased them. Very satisfied with the look and quality of the flatware. Not too heavy, and shiny. Satisfied customer and highly recommend.

I am on a perpetual hunt/buy for flatware like when I was a kid--good quality but not sized as if for giants or pretend Europeans. The first set I bought when married was an excellent quality Oneida set where all the weight was in the handles and the knives would fly off the plates like magic to the floor. I have since then bought literally dozens of sets, mostly "vintage" bought as NOS as well as contemporary sets. The contemporary sets are all outsized and I don't like them. This set is the best modern one I have found. The size is not silly and their finish is excellent. They are "light" but pick one up and try to flex it--they are very firm and substantial then. I have had no problems with rust OR staining (which on some sets is mistaken as "rust", also never use any lemon products on flatware).

I have been searching for silverware like this for years. I didn’t want to buy sets that include a bunch of useless utensils. And I wanted silverware that washes well and looks nice. This silverware is shiny, has a nice weight and isn’t over sized. It washes well in the dishwasher. The price is good compared to other brands. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase.

Makes for a very attractive place setting. The silverware has a really nice, unique design. I wish they had a little more weight but seem to be holding up very well and come out if the dishwasher looking shiny and new.

Received our Silvano flatware and steak knives promptly. Since we just received these yesterday, this will be an initial review. The 45 piece Silvano set is very sleek and easy to hold. They are weighted properly to rest on our dinnerware when not handling. Washed up nicely. They are very shiny leaving fingerprints when placing prior to use. This may diminish with time. Not a huge issue for us. Really love the design and handling. Purchased 8 piece steak knife set in stainless steel, silver. Also very sleek. Would be too small for people with large hands. Extremely sharp and certain to do the job cutting anything on a plate or cutting board needing to be cut. Probably should have purchased a set with the storage box to keep them sharp and prevent injury.

There is a lot to love about this set. I think the flatware is reasonably well balanced, functional, sturdy, easy to wash, and visually appealing. There is one big draw back: Henckels does not sell replacement pieces. So if you lose or damage a piece of this set and you want a full set, you'll be buying a full second set. As happy as I am with the set, if I'd know this when I made my purchase, I may have gone a different direction. Here I am 2 years later, missing 2 forks (no idea how), and it's costing me over $100. That shouldn't be the case.

I purchased the 45-pc JA Henckel Silvano Flatware Set. The set came with 8 dinner forks, 8 salad forks, 8 dinner spoons, 8 teaspoons, 8 knives, 1 serving fork, 1 serving spoon, 1 slotted serving spoon, 1 sugar spoon, and 1 butter knife. I chose this set for its simple, yet elegant design, without extra crevices for food/water to hide. And to be honest, I don't think the main Amazon product photo did it justice. I had previously thought the pieces to be all matte in color, but was pleasantly surprised that they all came with mirror finish. Every piece looks to be well-made (no blemishes thus far), smooth to the touch, and nicely balanced. I also did an initial dishwasher test and didn't notice any issue other than water spots here and there (nothing a towel wipe wouldn't fix). I would not recommend washing these with things made of silver or aluminum though. Overall very excited about this purchase, and can't wait to show them off!

They look great, but are (imo) way too light. Feels cheap compared to the current set I have from the same brand.

Overall looks good, but after first dish washing on one knife appeared small rusty dots. Hope it is just one defective knife but not overall problem with quality

These are good quality, but not super heavy. I won't know about longevity and durability for a while yet but after a week, we love the set.
