BLACK+DECKER AutoSelect Steam-Mop Replacement Pad (Pack of 2) with Easy-Glide Technology, FSMP20-XJ

The Black & Decker steam mop is an essential item for cleaning tiled floors. I now have 2 of them, one in my house and a new one just bought for a flat I am renting. Whether you have a small or large area of tiles, this steam mop is light and easy to use and cleans well. I ordered extra mop pads so as to have a clean one to hand when the dirty one is in the wash. A great invention.

It's lightweight. A pity you have to undo the cable from its tidy to fill and empty the tank. Not sure it's any more efficient than a mop and bucket but easy to use. We have a dog and stone floors in the kitchen and conservatory and I like to think the hot steam kills any bacteria.

I've dogs, hens & a cat so my floors can get quite mucky. Obviously the hens aren't constantly walking into the house but they free roam in the garden & even when looking where you're walking chicken poo gets walked into the utility room. So I am constantly cleaning floors & after a bad car accident it's a painful & slow job. I'd seen various excellant reviews for this steam mop in magazines & read the reviews on Amazon & despite a few negative ones I finally decided to order one. I also ordered a pk of extra mop floor pads at the same time. As soon as it arrived I was eager to try it out so swept the floor ready to start. It looked simple enough. The pad is dead easy to apply; just place it on the floor with Velcro facing upwards & place the bottom of the mop onto. Then fill the tank with cold water with the plastic jug provided. Select the type of floor you're cleaning on the dial. I started of on a laminate floor. Plug in and switch on. Blue light comes on & within a few seconds changes colour & you're read to clean. It's very light & easy to manovere & actually it makes cleaning floors a bit of a doddle. No filling buckets of water, no ringing out of the mop & no need to dry off the floor afterwards. So happy was I with the results on the laminate floor I moved on to ceramic tiles in the utility room. Now this would really test it, with dried patches of chicken poo & cat & dog footprints all over. Having swept & turned the dial to tiles I started. I allowed the mop to stay on stubborn stains bait longer & eventually it lifted & the floor came up lovely & clean. I now pre wet stubborn dried on mud or chicken poo stains. The cloth was filthy, I removed it & put it in the washing machine. It came out clean but had shrunk a little... still fits though. Ive used the mop on marble & wood & am very pleased with the results & how quick I'm able to clean my floors. I would never have thought I'd get excited about cleaning floors but it's now become almost a pleasure certainly never a chore. I might go as far as say if my husband had bought me it I would have been pleased ( maybe not as much if it was a birthday present but anything is better than nothing) & surprised as he's never bought me anything that would make life easier for me!

I decided to get these extra Steam Mop Replacement Pads at the same time as purchasing the Black & Decker FSMH1621-GB Autoselect Multi-Floor 7-in-1 Steam Mop. Why? Well the extra cost was modest and these are not something you may be able to find at your usual supermarket or local shop so it is best to have them ready for when needed. They work well and I do not know of any alternative.

This arrived on time and would be fine if I had dogs or cats and actually needed to disinfect the floors, but .....I don't. I have marble or terracotta floors throughout and could do with an effective machine but I've been disappointed with it's performance. It takes much longer to heat up than advertised and any dust on the floor just gets pushed around rather than picked up. It also takes more effort than implied. I shall probably use it again when my ( crawling) grandchildren come to stay, otherwise the old mop and bucket is faster and more efficient!

I got these pads for my Black & Decker FSM1610 (which is a piece of equipment I really like and a purchase that I am very pleased with), because the steamer itself only came with one pad. Other reviewers have complained about the machine coming with only one pad, but what could we expect really? I have never bought anything that came with more than one "starter" unit (like my printer, my vaporizer, etc). I think you need to get extra pads if you have a large floor, to make sure you are moping with clean-ish pads all the way... I tend to use two pads when moping the main floor of my house, as I change pads half-ways through. Other reviewers have complained that the pads come off as they are moping, but I never have that problem. My pads stick to the mop head perfectly, and are quite easy to get on / off, as they have a little tab to peel them off without touching hot, wet fabric. Very pleased with them, but especially with the steamer itself,..

Bought extra pad as I sometimes have a large area to mop and need to change part way through. These pads are okay but there is a knack to keeping them fixed on the mop if you tend to drag the mop sideways in use sometimes. They come up clean from a turn in the washer, but remember not to use fabric conditioner.

The steam mop arrived and, on unpacking, was found to be cracked. I requested the procedure for returns from the company and waited 4 days for a response. When the response finally came I was told to take it to the nearest of their service engineers for repair! After 2 more emails and an enquiry to Amazon as to the way forward I received instructions on how to return the item for replacement. I received a replacement mop within 2 days of that email.

Questi panni sono facilissimi da pulire e si possono lavare in lavatrice. Veramente buona la qualità del materiale. Trattengono lo sporco durante l’utilizzo. Ottimo il rapporto qualità-prezzo. Scrivi la recensione a 8 anni dall’acquisto e continuo utilizzo.

Coompré la mopa que sólo traía un repuesto y por eso añadí estos dos mas y creo que es necesario ya que la mopa limpia muy bien y este accesorio termina muy sucio, lo lavo en la lavador pero como no la pongo todos los días pero si paso la mopa entonces me vienen genial. Si compras la mopa añade esto, te resultará muy útil.

I love the mop and I love the mop pads! They go on easily, and I've thrown them in the washer as well, no issues at all! It is lovely not having to crouch down to scrub stains off the floor anymore!

This is even better than the original, since the velcro fastening is a full width strip.
