Great replacement
I bought this Darlac pole as a replacement for the shorter version which, as a previous reviewer noted, stopped extending when the rubber at the bottom end fell off. This new one is light in weight but I shall never use it fully extended. It has a phenomenal reach & becomes a bit unwieldy if too extended. On the plus side, it is not as bendy as the shorter one was. The top near the attachment on the old one tended to bend on larger twigs - this one does not. One downside is that the folded pole is so long, one needs a lengthy storage place. All round, a very satisfactory replacement pole at a reasonable price. There are many attachments to fit the pole although I only have the apple picker so far.

Good but flexible on full extension
I have used this product for two weeks and found that it enables one to reach those outgrowths at the top of high hedges. Although I found it difficult to control accurately on full extension as, mounted with a tool it tended to wave about a bit, missing the branch you wanted to cut and getting the tool buried in surrounding growth. With a bit of practise things have improved, but beware of using it on full extension out of the vertical near your greenhouse!

Exceeded expectations
This has been an invaluable tool in our new house - we moved into a converted barn, with ridiculously high ceilings. It has mainly been used with the Swop Top Cobweb Brush to remove vast quantities of cobwebs far above the reach of anything else (we had spent, ahem, entertaining nights taping together as many long things as we could find in order to 'poot' irritating flies and evict spiders - reminiscent of the fly in Walter White's lab!) This pole is very sturdy, easy to extend and retract, and has a really very good reach. I can easily imagine it would be very useful with other available accessories in the garden or around the home.

Did the job
It’s an amazingly long pole, very bendy at longer settings with the lopper end fitted, but I was able to get the job done reaching overhanging tree branches upto 30mm thick. When pulling the lopper string it bends so you have to bias the bending by applying pressure to bend it the opposite direction.

No screw at the end top of the pole
Absolutely useless no any screw fitting option at the end top, when you insert anything to attach the pole it's not fitting properly. I am very disappointed and made a wrong decision to purchase this item.

Practical and well thought out
The Darlac Giant Telescopic Pole is a very handy piece of equipment. I have used it very successfully in combination with the Darlac Traditional Pruning Saw for cutting back trees, with the cuts at above twice my height, all without using ladders or ropes. The pole accepts a number of plug-in items - as well as a couple of saws, I also have a plug-in for cleaning the house windows. The pole itself is fairly light, appears to be pretty strong (it flexes a bit, but not badly), and is well thought out - in particular, the little hook for connecting to the plug-ins so that if they become detached from the pole when in use, they do not fall onto you but end up dangling from the hook instead. Very useful when using saws above head-height. You need to think carefully about safety if cutting trees above head height using a device such as this, but if you are going to use something like this then the Darlac pole is a good one to go for. Recommended.

Very long but a little short on quality
A very - very - long pole, essential for the high branches I needed to lop. Quality issue: the plastic plug on the bottom end fell off. Not sure why, but the telescopic action doesn't seem to work without it. It shouldn't be beyond the wit of manufacturer to make sure this is permanently fixed. There is a simple twist-action lock, locking in both directions, so very important either to remember the direction of locking or to lock in the same direction every time. Otherwise, you will have a pole permanently locked at a particular length. (They do point this out with a label on the pole).
