Excellent kit, but things to know
The kit quality is excellent, but a couple of things you should know. First, you’ll lose the 10 tables that are installed on your original PCB, because this kit replaces that. You can find the same tables (although different versions of them) for sale to download, but you’ll be paying for them again. Second, you’ll obviously be using the various pinball games available on your Nintendo Switch, which you will need to already own, or purchase one separately (again, more money paid.) Third, since it’s those games you’re playing, the angle of the tables will no longer look as though they are an actual playfield due to the fact that games like Pinball Arcade and Pinball FX3 have a dynamic camera that flies around the virtual table, and shows the outside of the table itself on the screen. So the illusion that you’re playing a real pinball machine is lost. Fourth, I’ve seen many of the Arcade1up pinball tables come with a 12v/3A power supply. This may work for the original PCB, but with this new setup, you will need to ensure that you use a minimum 12v/5A power supply. If not, every time your solenoids fire, the entire setup will switch off due to the current draw being too high and the power supply going into a shutdown protection mode. Aside from that, the kit is put together very well with what appear to be good quality components. Not top of the line, but good. The provided instructions can a bit confusing at times, but between those and the instructional videos you can find on YouTube about how to set everything up, it’s pretty simple. I would also suggest using some stand-offs to remount the new PCB’s without the cases to the body of the table as opposed to the back of the monitor for better air circulation. But that requires adding a wire to attach the ground to the monitor and getting an LVDS cable extension for the monitor so you can open and close the monitor frame without issues. In closing, now that the kit is just under $90, it’s well worth the price, IMO. Btw, there are a lot of Facebook and Reddit groups for Arcade1up mods that you can join if you need help with the kit install. Have fun!

Are you sure you want to do the conversion ?
Just know that all pinball tables become single player. Totally sucks if not playing alone. It is a major drawback to find tables to buy. If you see one table you like it comes in a three pack of two other tables that are just trash games. Also, the what used to be the scoreboard on the back panel is now just a view of the table you’re playing but switched horizontally so no score up on the screen just on the table You’re playing. And the joy stick and the buttons-in order to play the tables you have to switch the view on the PlayStation’s normal view to a vertical view so that it shows up on the table as a normal view for you. This means that all the controls of the switch are sideways on your table which makes it very difficult to cursor around to choose games and menus, and things like that. I kind of wish I hadn’t installed it even though the games on the table originally sucked.

Works well, not great.
This brought my Arcade1up Star wars cabinet back to life. It works well except to things: the plunger does not work on any table. The rear actuators go off constantly when the ball is in the top of the table. I disconnected those actuators so that the only ones that fire are the paddle ones. I use either the A button to launch ball, or I use a separate pro controller to toggle the plunger on screen. I set the pro controller on the deck for ease of use. I wouldn't use this mod for a working arcade 1up pinball but if yours has died like mine did and you don't want to give Arcade1up another $120 for a new PCB that will die right after the warranty expired I highly recommend this mod. I have over 50 tables that I've purchased through Nintendo Switch so it's a better option then the crappy PCB Arcade1up will sell you. I've gone through 2 PCBs before I chose to go this route. Glad I did overall.

Works but it doesn't fit
We will have to shave this board down in order to get it to fit. Installation instructions were hard to follow because our starwars machine had differences than what was depicted in the diagrams. We got it up and running we just wish it had fit.

Great product for your Arcade1up pinball machine
I purchased this item after my Arcade1up Attack from Mars machine stopped working. I considred replacing the Main PCBA. However, the complete replacement parts from Arcade1up was $109 plus tax and shipping. The mod only cost me $89. The installation was very easy it took me about 45 minutes, and this is because Arcade1up had glued all the connections. Make sure you utilze an exacto knife to remove the glue. For the installation I followed TOYKADE on Youtbe. TOYKADE made the installation very easy. The pinball tables look great, better than the Arcade1up. Highly recommend moding your Arcade1up with this controller.
