Philex 19862PB 2/6A Telephone Surface Extension Socket Screw Terminals

Easy to use. Found the screw terminals much better. Only issue is price. Cheaper on eBay but postage silly.

I didn't realise there were different types of fittings and thought this would be identical to the one which was being replaced, which was like a normal electric plug inside. This one requires a special tool to embed the wires securely in place in a tiny little slot. Nothing is wrong with the product, it's just different to what I expected.

This has been a great replacement for a years old tired out unit. Easy to wire up being a screw down one.I have my router hooked up to this and with a brand new vdsl filter I'm getting 5mb more then I ever had and now looks now and fresh. Highly recommend this unit

Purchased 6 of these to replace some older and damaged units. Although they seem good quality, it would appear that the electrical connections between this socket and plugs inserted are very hit and miss. Trying to plug anything into the socket is met with very stiff resistance, and once in is extremely difficult to remove. I had to revert back to my older sockets temporarily as these gave problems with a reliable connection.

Product is OK, customer service is good

Easy to install, needing no IDC tooling, and the screw terminals are more reliable than the IDC contact type.

Nice and tidy and works brilliant with phone and internet. Smaller than a standard box, but that’s what I wanted. Brilliant piece of kit.
