After 13 years of dreads, I have the most sensitive scalp known to man. Usually i have to rinse before the relaxer has time to process. Not when i use this stuff though! Didn't feel a thing, not even a tingle so was able to let the relaxer do it job; finally!

Brilliant for basing the scalp and gently on the ends of hair. Scalp had no challenges as usually quite sensitive, this helped a lot.

I would like to give more the 3 stars as the product was amazing! No stinging for the first time while relaxing! Was disappointed that the bottle lid arrived damaged which made application a very tedious task! Would purchase again bit hope the lid is not damaged.

Really disappointed. It is like a lump of jelly. I agree with feedback left by another customer. This does not protect the hair or scalp from relaxer. Seems like it is way out of date or home made. It is definitly not the same quality of the salons. Very disappointed.

Delivered before estimated date, came very quickly so I was really pleased with the service. I have a very sensitive scalp so I always double base, once at home and then when I get to the salon. As I am now self relaxing, I still do this to be sure not to burn. I used my Summit sensitive scalp relaxer a couple of hours before then I applied this right before relaxing. You don't need much at all, I really like the easy application due to the bottle and again scent is very mild and faint which I like. Looking at the ingredients, it also has menthol, like my Summit base so i feel reassured it definitely has the right ingredients to protect and soothe the scalp. I probably don't use as much as a person who doesn't double base, in which case I'd say this bottle will last you 3-4 applications depending on how much you like to use when you base. For me it did the job and worked well with my base so i definitely recommend it.

This helped ALOT. I used copious amounts in each section of my hair and around my crown. The first time I only used vaseline and it burned alot. When I used the Scalp Protector and Vaseline, I was able to apply the relaxer with out any tingling or burning. However, when I started to wash it out, I did feel some minor discomfort when the water hit my scalp. Still recommend.

The base that I usually used was hard to find in the past few months. I tried this one as an alternative. It is quite effective. It does an ok job. I am using a base that is a lot more effective because it allows your scalp to stand the relaxer longer. As an alternative, this one will do.

This has to be the best scalp protector on the market. I relax my own hair and it did not burn even though I did scratch my scalp, very good and worth buying

This is supposed to be a liquid and it is the consistency of vasoline. The directions say to shake to liquefy...no amount of shaking can liquefy this product. Will try heating in hot water.
