I needed this for a tramp clown costume and was not disappointed! It’s really well made, fit perfectly, and will last through many wears. Affordable and good-looking!

Perfect fit, nice quality. Shipping by Amazon was terrible, though. Box looked kicked in, and poor hat was smashed. I used steam to bring it back to life.

I have a very small head. The adjustable string did get it to stay on but it didn’t look very good. But for the price it’s a nice enough hat. Ended up returning. Wanted one of the bowlers that came in multiple sizes and claims 100% wool felt, but didn’t have time. Anyway if you have a regular sized head it’s fine. It’s not stiff like the wool felt but some people prefer that. Also it’s a rich dark black.

To be fair I was looking for a larger fit so for someone who wants a small derby hat with a tightly curled brim….this may be fine. But it does seem a bit small for adult heads. Returned it.

If you need a bowler hat for a costume, this one is a good middle-of-the-road pick. It's not a lousy party store hat, it's not a nice hat meant to be worn repeatedly, it's a decent, adjustable-size hat with a rich color. It's a softer felt than a regular bowler so won't last forever, but I don't need it to and for $20 I don't care!
