Wonderful Taste!
This made my buttercream frosting taste like vanilla ice cream. 10/10 would recommend. Do I wish it was a bit less expensive? Yes. Because normally my vanilla products last a while, but this is already almost finished. However, for the quality of the taste, I will definitely rebuy.

Good quality product, but can get expensive if you bake often
I am writing this review after purchasing my third bottle: Flavor & Consistency: It is much tastier then vanilla extract, due to its potency. It has a stronger vanilla taste, and the taste runs slightly deeper then vanilla extract. Though it says "vanilla paste", the consistency is like liquid which makes it just as easy to mix into dishes as vanilla extract. I have used it in yogurts, milk, baked goods, etc. with zero issues in mixing evenly. Price: It is a bit pricey, but I feel you are paying for the quality you get with this product. I cook everyday, but I do not always use vanilla flavoring in my baked dishes. Because of the price, I really only use this for vanilla dishes (which I do once in a while, since my boyfriend and family prefer chocolate), and to flavor my plain yogurt. So I make a bottle last weeks and weeks sometimes. If you bake with vanilla paste often, and you have the money in your budget for this necessity item, then I say go for it. If you bake often, but would rather your budget go towards other aspects of your life, then you might want to stick with vanilla extract. Or do what I do and use it sparingly, since it is a good product, and definitely enhances vanilla based dishes. All in all, I recommend this, but it can get expensive if you bake often.

Good Quality, Good Price
So far, so good. I made this purchase after buying several jars (and going quickly thru them) of another brand (i won't post name here because i don't want you to think i'm a troll for that company). I made the leap with this large jar and hefty price tag, but I was pleasantly surprised that I needed less of this brand in my baking. This greatly stretches out the cost and makes it a super efficient purchase. (Note: the label on Heilala equates 1 teaspoon to 1 vanilla bean pod whereas other brands equate 1 TABLEspoon to 1 vanilla bean. I find that I need two teaspoons to match a vanilla bean and to replicate the same taste in my baking.) Overall, I'm pretty happy that this jar is lasting me a while and my customers aren't noticing any difference in taste or texture. END RESULT: quality taste that gives me a better bottom line; however I am only giving 4 stars because I do feel the vanilla taste is not as strong as a Madagascar Bean or paste, as the description suggests.

The perfect alternative to the humble vanilla bean!
We purchased a CusineArt commercial ice cream maker; model No. ICE-100 which makes excellent “hard” home made ice cream. It freezes the ice cream mix for you while it churns. The ice cream receipe we use calls for real vanilla bean. We have given up looking for real vanilla bean at the grocery stores. Prior to discovering Heilala Vanilla we always used the McCormick Pure Vinilla extract our the ice cream mix. I mention this for this reason. The paste is the perfect alternative to scraping real vanill bean in our ice cream mix. My home made Strawberry HARD ice cream has made a hit with our neighbors using vanilla extract. They say the proof is in the pudding. Well, we were very bemused to discover that, after using Heilala Vanilla in our ice cream mix, our neighbors noticed the difference right away between the two and were very impressed at the delicious improvement in taste of my awesome Strawberry HARD home made ice cream. So, for us the proof of how good this Vanilla paste is compared to using vanilla extract was in the overwhelming favorable comments we get from our friends and neighbors since we switched - not to mention the kids. Just seeing the Vanilla bean specks in my fresh strawberry HARD ice cream gives it that wholesome mouth watering look too. Conclusion? For this review I’ll let my friends and neighbors speak for me. They definitely noticed the difference using Heilala Vanilla in my ice cream mix. My conclusion. There is no comparison between the natural flavor of real vanilla bean over pure vanilla extract. The only down side is I am now stuck providing my “world famous” home made Strawberry HARD ice cream for everyone! I would love to send you all reading this review a tasty sampler!!

Fantastic flavor!!
Fantastic vanilla flavor! I've been buying Nielsen Massey vanilla for decades but decided to try another brand that is not corporate driven. This vanilla is now my favorite. I make vanilla custard twice a week for an elderly family member so I go through vanilla paste quickly. The flavor is wonderful and the price is much more reasonable than Nielsen Massey. It's a win-win.

This is NOT THE GOOD Heilala STUFF, they are NOT all made the same.
I would leave ZERO STARS if I could. It’s unfortunated that I cannot return this. I have a jar of the delicious Heilala Vanilla Bean Paste at home and it is thicker, richer, has more vanilla particles and tastes amazing and comes in a little glass jar. o thought I was buying the same product, alas-NO. I shpuld have double-checked the list of ingredients. This smells like alcohol - which indeed it contains. It is basically a sugar syrup with some regular Vanilla essence in it with some vanilla bean bits thrown in. And it comes in a PLASTIC BOTTLE. Yuck-I cannot believe I paid $30 dollars for this junk. Regular va

I regret buying this vanilla bean paste, it is nothing like my previous order from Native Vanilla. Pure trash with no vanilla taste or smell
