I got this as my first large landing net. I agree with a lot of the reviews on here about this net, the pole is a bit flimsy, especially when fully extended and the net arms don't seem the strongest. But at the end of the day, it's a cheaper more budget friendly product. If you want something that's built to last years and years, then you're best off going for something from a more expensive brand. I've used this net on one trip so far, caught 8 fish, most around the 10 pound mark, biggest was just above 15 pounds, and it held up well. My advice would be to get the fish in the net still in the water, then to lift the fish out holding the net vertically from the connector. Much more likely to last longer that way. All in all, it's decent for what you pay. It's big, long and doesn't break the bank. It's definitely a good place to start when getting a first carp fishing set up or just to have as a spare. It will land you some some fish, and I suppose that's the main part.

Good value, good build quality, a necessary size for lakes, easy to set up, can't complain I'm happy with it.

All I can say is this item is absolutely amazing big net and comes with pole plus it floats light weight easy to put together

Excellent lenghth

The 42 inch net seems fine but I worry about the fixing of the Y piece to the net arms. These have to be bent into the Y connection and spring out to form the net shape. They are held only by friction. I suppose it will work but a 30lb Carp may say differently. We wait and see. The handle is next to useless. You will need to buy a longer and much stronger one to make this system work. The supplied handle is poorly made, thin and weak. Not up to the job. Fortunately I have a suitable spare from my old net. You get what you pay for. I should have gone for better quality. This net is cheap but not really value for money. Won't get fooled again.
