For the money, this is an absolutely amazing filter! As you can see in the pictures, it does the job of keeping our 4' Rena tank absolutely crystal clear! We have it set up with the spray-bar attached to diffuse the output because it certainly is a beast and the flow is very powerful.It is extremely effective in its job and is pretty low maintenance. I particularly like the fact that there are two cartridge which means that they can be cleaned alternately, thus maintaining bacteria levels. The black coloration makes it nearly invisible which is great to (not) see. This filter has been running for about a month in the big tank and I can testify to it being totally silent apart from when it's been serviced, in which case, it takes a few moments to expel the last few air bubbles. It's height and slim form factor make this ideal for our tank as it draws in water from all depths very effectively whilst not taking up any noticeable space. The two cartridges also mean that one can be used with the supplied sponge and the other housing biomedia, barley straw or any other equipment as desired. So, why did it not get 5 stars? 1) There is no flow adjuster on it. This isn't an issue for us as it's power perfectly matches our requirements with the spray bar attached but it WOULD have been a nice addition. 2) Its a pain to disassemble! Once again, taking the filter apart isn't something we plan to do very often but when we do, it's achore! The canisters are attached to each other and to the motor in a most inconvenient way which requires a certain knack and considerable pressure on the tabs on order to remove the units. However, once removed, maintenance is pretty straightforward. The above issues aside, for the price, this filter simply can't be beaten. It's a no-frills product but in the aquatic world, more features equate with more things to malfunction so it's a case of less is better. If you are hunting for a reliable workhorse that does it's job brilliantly and are on a budget, look no further! Update: I have also bought the 500l/h version: The 500 is a completely different beast!!! It's very efficient as to be expected but really excels in ease of maintenance. It's soooooo easy to dismantle for cleaning and servicing. The sponge housing comes off by a simple twist as do the separate compartments. The sponges are designed for maximum surface area and are really low maintenance. The clear plastic allows one to see when it does need cleaning and also makes the whole thing very unobtrusive.. It comes with a variety of outlets including a venturi and a direction adjuster so you can tweak the oxygen and direction of flow. Absolutely fantastic!!!

It’s brilliant easy to set up

This is a very powerful little filter in terms of flow. In a dirty tank it will clog quickly but should be great for my small shrimp tank as it has a flow regulator on it. I've swapped the carbon for some small ceramic biological media. My only complaint is that it does make quite a noise for something so small but the tank in question is in the hall so I can live with it for now. If it gets any louder though I'll have to return it.

I needed something that creates good water flow while filtering all the waste produced by my cichlids. This filter is a fantastic so far, obviously early days but super happy with the product and design, the price is great value first of all, then the power lead which is a decent length(sometimes they all way too short). The housing is solid and water flow is strong but can be adjusted slightly which is good. Double sponge for filtering in separate parts. I don’t leave many reviews but I feel this deserves abit of praise. Thankyou :) if you need a decent internal filter then this is the one

Was initially quite pleased with this filter. It’s really slim and doesn’t take up much space in my aquarium. I liked the spray bar. However, it has always been very very difficult to take apart to clean, almost impossible and therefore difficult to rinse or replace the media. The flow has drastically reduced over time, probably because the media needs cleaning more often. However I cannot get the two bits apart to open it. I’ve tried force s well as trying to get a knife in, where the edges meet to prise it apart, but can’t. I’ve therefore replaced it after 8 months because it’s so difficult to clean and therefore no use in terms of water flow.

Acquistato su Amazon Warehousedeals, la pompa è risultata non funzionante. Ovviamente ho reso il prodotto. Viene da chiedersi se tali oggetti vengano testati prima di essere rimessi in vendita. Pessima esperienza.

Hola, recibí ayer el producto y me decepcionó, llego con el enchufe ingles ( el de las tres clavijas) ademas se queda pequeño. Hoy es el tercer dia que lo tengo y ya no funciona. Devolución pero ya. Muy mal

Ottimo prodotto per il suo costo esiguo anche se un po rumoroso. Non adatto ad acquari di dimensioni troppo piccole in quanto piuttosto potente.

Me ha gustado mucho, ya es el segundo o tercero de ésta marca. No lo he podido emplear, porque generaba demasiada corriente para el proyecto que tenía. Pero un gran caudal y buena potencia.
