Great fairy lights
Great set of lights. We used it to backlight a Christmas canvas with a plug behind it. Remote works great and the lights have a variety of modes.

Superb customer service! Beautiful lights, too.
I ordered one string of lights from Hsicily/Hopeshop and another string of color lights from a different supplier to compare them. The flashing patterns offered by these lights simply outshone the competition. For me to choose them over color-changing lights was surprising to me. I bought a second string of Hopeshop lights and began working on a project with them. Carefully bending/shaping the strings into place, my daughter and I redecorated two wire deer. After all the handling, the lights still worked. On the downside, one set stopped after a few minutes. My husband figured that the AC adapter was faulty and used a spare from his cell phone. All good - and both strings worked for many hours every day through the holidays - at least a month. I contacted Hopeshop to request a functioning AC adapter. After a couple of polite emails discussing the problem, Hopeshop sent apologies and a new string of lights! As for the package, Hopeshop sends: 1. the lights in bubble wrap; 2. the AC adapter with a plastic cover; 3. the controller unit in a plastic bag (battery has a plastic tab to prevent contact),; 4. a business card with details how to contact Hopeshop; 5. INSTRUCTIONS to use the lights. For clarity, I am attaching photos of the instructions. I found the light controller easy to use - line of sight - without the instructions, but I read them afterwards just to be sure I found all the options. Hsicily/Hopeshop lights are beautiful with blue-white color, good range of brightness, and awesome flashing modes. The delicate wires blend into displays and are not as fragile as they seem. With such excellent customer service, one can buy Hopeshop products with confidence. I recommend these lights highly!

Surprised of the quality
I based this purchase on the previous reviews, photos and videos. I’m very impressed with this purchase! It’s easy to set up, the lights were beautiful bright colors and the changing modes is superb! I bought 5 not knowing how much I need for our family room Christmas tree. This tree is only 6ft and a little slim. However, I only placed one because it was bright enough. I also love the fact that the lights and wires were so small that you don’t see it. For durability, I have yet to see, that’s why I only gave 4 stars. Overall, it gave life to our Christmas tree! So, I used the remaining lights to our formal room Christmas tree. It is beautiful. If I have to have one comment though, it will have to be the remote. Since I’m using 4 sets of lights in one tree, I have to synchronize the modes when I turn the lights on. Using the remote is a hit or miss though all 4 of them works, you can’t pinpoint which is which because I think it’s using the same signal. So for example, I turn the lights using 1 remote, it turns on the bottom one. However if I turn it off using the same remote and turn it on again, it will turn on the top light. It’s minor but the lights are beautiful so, it’s still 5 atars for me.

Exposed wires, safe? No idea, but they work ok, nothing special, just simple
Nothing special, simply product. But I hate the fact that wires are exposed. I originally was using these for my cat because she is going blind, they are not too bright, which is good, but the exposed wires was always a concern, no idea how safe that is, but I finally stopped using them and bought strip LED rights that are covered. They work better, and I choose a solid color for them. Anyway, if you are looking for something simple, these should do the trick.

Great for large rock lamps (not salt lamps)
This is not appropriate for the Himalayan salt lamps, as you need the heat of an incandescent bulb to keep the salt crystals dry and release negative ions (the healthy ones found in abundance in places like oceans, waterfalls, etc.) into the air. However, for my very large selenite lamp, the tiny little nightlight bulbs failed to light it well, and there is a maximum wattage you can use without it overheating. In addition, I found that the hole that was drilled for the light was only about 6" deep, despite the selenite itself being ~18" at it's greatest height. This ruled out using an LED light bar as most options I've found are over 8". I didn't have anything the right circumference to wrap the delicate wires around, so you can see my fancy fix for this - I wound the lights around a rubber icing spatula (to avoid breaking the delicate wires), carefully slipping them off and rounding it out a bit as I inserted it into the lamp. I then used painters tape to secure the cord exiting at the bottom since this light set is not designed to be used in a lamp and includes no base. I think the light illuminates the lamp perfectly and I am very happy with the outcome and to have no danger of a bulb overheating. As others mentioned, I had issues with the blinking, etc. at first (and no instructions). When I came back to the listing I found that the instructions are in the second to the last photo for the item. I just used a screen capture and printed the image. Then I decided to shrink it down and just stick a small copy to the back of the remote with double-stick tape to keep it handy, although I intend to keep it set on #1 with steady light. (Before grabbing the instructions, I also found purely by trial and error, that after messing around with the buttons by the plug, the lights would just stay on solid by plugging or unplugging. Not ideal, but I could have lived with it if I hadn't figured it out.) I haven't used the timer, so I can't comment on that, but I did check the light indicators for the timer and they appear to work as described. It would have been nice to have the instructions included, but as I mentioned, just grab the picture and print it. Overall I'm very happy with how this worked out for my needs. UPDATE: Still very happy with this. One little oddity I've noticed... If you are leaving these plugged in and your power goes out, when it comes back on, the lights turn on (even if you had them turned off prior to the power outage). I do have these plugged into a surge protector, but I do leave the power on for the other items I have plugged into it. It's really not a big deal, but something to be aware of if there's a storm rolling through or odd updates to the power grid & you suddenly have lights on in your room (we've had a number of instances with the power going off & on lately). This lamp is in my office, so not a big issue for me because it's not going to disrupt sleep. I just have to remember to turn it off if the power goes out during the day & I'm not in the same room. Obviously that's more noticeable at night and I turn it off when I notice that unexpected glow. Since these don't heat up & aren't a huge power draw it's not really an issue for me, but I figured I'd mention it for anyone planning to use them in a bedroom (although I'd just keep the remote near the bed or use a plug that's readily accessible & that's easily resolved). UPDATE 2022: So hard to believe I've had these for nearly 4 years. They're toast through no fault of their own - heavy lamp, clumsy movers & the wires got broken with it getting picked up and moved multiple times (also no one seemed to figure out that it was a lamp even though it had a plug - okay....???). Seeing complaints about other brands/sets, I just decided to circle back to what I know is reliable. The only issue that I have had over all of the years, is that they turn on when power is restored after an outage, as previously mentioned. That was never a problem for me (just a little puzzling until I figured out what was going on); I don't think the power surge was enough to cause any problems - but my theory is that maybe it tripped the on/off that would normally be activated by the remote. Anyhow, served me well & back for more.

Perfect lights
I originally purchased similar twinkling lights that were battery powered instead, but after using 12 batteries for 4 strands of lights (3 batteries per strand) that died in just ONE MONTH, it just wasn't practical and cost friendly. Most of the lights that I searched online with a plug were stationary and did not twinkle but I'm soooo glad I found these lights!!! I bought both the cool white and warm white. I really love how the cool white gives off a blue tint which really stands out, especially at night. The cool white lights pop out far away more clearly than the warm white ones. For reference in my picture, I bought the 49 feet strand which wrapped perfectly around my 7 ft christmas tree and even had a bit extra to wrap around the star topper. I liked that the lights were wrapped around a plastic roll but because it started with the usb end, I ended up having to unravel the entire roll to get to the very beginning of the light strand so I could start wrapping it at the top of my tree. This was very inconvenient and frustrating because the strand got tangled underneath my tree. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND plugging it in and wrapping around the bottom of the tree first and holding the roll around as you go up the tree. This saved sooo much time and frustration as compared to the first strand of lights when I unraveled the entire roll. I'm super happy with my purchase and I highly recommend these lights. I hope they'll last for several years!

Very bright, easy to use, many functions!
I bought the multicolored fairy lights and they are AMAZING. PROS: - Very bright and includes four colors: red, green, blue, yellow - Many modes to choose from (for the alternating/flashing modes, it goes red + blue to green + yellow) - Very user friendly; you don't need to read the manual to figure out how this works and the remote is already synced up and ready to use! - NOT battery operated so it won't kill through your batteries in the blink of an eye; it comes with an adaptor so you don't even need to get one. The USB connector itself also has three buttons where you can change the modes, turn it on/off, etc. so don't worry if you lose the remote. - Lightweight; the adaptor/wall plug is actually really light even though it looks bulky, so it's very easy to carry if you're planning to move or take it elsewhere. CONS: - If I really had to think of one, maybe that the remote uses the circle kind of battery which might be more difficult to find/more expensive to replace when it dies... but honestly the USB itself has the same functions in 3 buttons so it doesn't really matter unless your plug is far away/hard to reach and you don't want to spend the extra effort to turn it on that way In comparison to a set of warm white fairy lights I've owned from another seller (battery operated), these ones are heaven. My old fairy lights ate up the battery so quickly (maybe after 3-4 uses) and when I didn't use it for a long time, calcium deposited so quickly on there along with some weird sticky residue, which is weird because that shouldn't happen so quickly. These are also much brighter and they have modes to choose from! I really like that you can have the lights blink or flash or whatever, versus other fairy lights where they can only turn on and off. Bottom line is, just go get one. It's really worth it. Merry early Christmas! :)

The best and most minimal with all the features you need
I first bought these a couple years ago and accidentally stepped on the plug — I tried a bunch of others but none worked as well as these or had the minimal profile — wires transformers connectors etc — I had to return all of them. These are so much better overall — the remote is sensitive and doesn’t require pinpoint positioning. They are dimmable and have various cycles from flash to fade etc — the spool made it easy to put them on (6 foot cactus)
