Educational
First of all this book is ideal for someone who is new to perspective. It's a good guide book for helping people understand perspective and what it is and how to use it in your artwork or technical drawings. The book is explaining the very basic of perspective and how to use it and understand it's nature and purpose. Book may be old but it still has valuable information in teaching the subject very easy to read and follow along with. Each chapter of the book focuses on separate topics involving the subject in a nice easy way to read and follow along q nice gentle guide.

Fantastic. Great for beginners
It’s hard to believe that this was written in 1939! But don’t worry, this book wasn’t printed back then. It’s all new and shiny just like a book published on 2020. Some of the content requires you to really get your thinking cap on. It’s useful to follow some of the tasks at the end of each chapter also as that’s how you’ll get to grips with it quicker. But mostly it’s easy to get your head around and covers absolutely everything to do with perspective. I don’t get the low ratings off some of the readers because this is written in quite simplistic terms with diagrams used to demonstrate what is being taught. Easy as peas!

The most helpful book on understanding perspective that money can buy.
The most helpful book on understanding perspective that money can buy. I cannot express how fantastic this book is at explaining perspective drawing. Not only does the book show you 'how' to implement perspective, it explains 'why' these concepts work (many contemporary books fail to adequately explain the theory). It follows a logical progression and assumes no prior knowledge from the reader. I bought this book some time ago and have since put many hours of study into what it teaches - it has helped me out immensely. If you are struggling to wrap your head around this area of art then buy this book and absorb everything in it.

Appearance not too good; contents yet to be reviewed
12.2.25: I received ‘Perspective’ yesterday and haven’t yet started to read it. I did however, flick through the book and notes these points: Paper: low quality Print Quality: low with bleed due to ink and paper combination. Art work: seems okay although hand drawn where Computer aided drafting may provide a clearer image or diagram. Spatial characteristics: lots of free space which means more pages are used. Overall appearance: cover - okay; contents and pages low quality. Opinion: The book can be better designed; published on higher quality paper; and a more appropriate ink used. This would increase overall quality and have more appeal plus reduce materials if not also reducing cost per unit. I will review the books contents after carefully reading it with the hope of writing a great review. Absolute intelligent honesty is always my policy.

Everything the casual artist needs to know about perspective.
This is a good tuition e-book. I've always found perspective very difficult, but this is in sections relating to different areas of perspective which start off easy (which is great for an initial grasp of the elements) before you settle down to study and practice the serious stuff at the end of each section in the "problems" section - if you want to!

When Perspective Made Easy was written in 1939 Architects where the experts. For decades Earnest Norling has made life and work easier for artists and builders alike. Perspective Made Easy is down to earth, doable, step by step. Yes, the artwork is old fashioned, which in no way makes it bad. The explanations are clear and concise. There are two more books that may help with perspective is Framed Perspective Vol. 1 by Marcos Mateu-Mestre and Framed Environment Design as well from Marcos Mateu-Mestre. They're helpful with inking, drawing and cartooning.

Perceptive Made Easy is a fascinating book that demystifies the art of perception, breaking down complex cognitive processes into digestible, actionable insights. Whether you’re an artist, strategist, or someone navigating the nuances of composition (digital painting, photography, drawing...), this book is a valuable resource
