3M Cavilon No-Sting Barrier Film - 28Ml Spray

Amazing snd necessary for site changes for insulin pump or CGM devices. Especially if you consider yourself to have sensitive skin to adhesives etc. value for money worth every penny!

This stuff works! I had a small sore patch in a really difficult position on my lower back/upper bottom which would keep rubbing on clothing and, despite using barrier creams of different kinds, lingered for longer than I wanted or would return after a couple of weeks only to flare up again. I bought this barrier film spray and it has been a game changer. I can just about manage to contort myself into the right position to squirt my sore bit and once dry this Cavilon Barrier Film keeps the patch of skin dry without any pain or irritability for a good long while - giving the skin a chance to heal underneath. I've also used this stuff to protect my wrist skin where my Garmin Watch caused some irritation and sloughing of the top layer of skin. One squirt of this Barrier Film, let it dry and put your watch back on and you're good to go. The film layer is so thin that the watch can still work through it reading your vitals and because the barrier layer is dry it doesn't cause any issues with the delicate electronics of the watch itself. This stuff isn't cheap.... but it does work and one or two squirts are enough for most things I need it for, so I can see this little bottle lasting quite a long time. I will definitely be buying more when needed. It's part of my "essentials" now.

I developed two pressure sores on my bottom when in hospital recently and the nurses were treating them with the Cavilon spray. I was apprehensive at first but the difference has been amazing. The sores have almost disappeared as I've purchased this spray a couple of times since coming home. My one criticism is the bottle doesn't last very long and the price is quite steep but it DOES work. Its very easy to apply but I need my carers to apply it morning and night. It doesn't sting and okay on sensitive skin.

I use this on the skin around both my ileostomy and urostomy and I swear by this stuff! Leaves a very thin, slightly tacky film on the skin so it doesn’t negatively affect bag adhesion. Protects the skin so well! Only 2 reasons im not giving 5 stars is the cost and the actual packaging - however I know that no matter how bad my skin gets, cavilon will help save it! Great quality product but the bottles often have leaky lids or don’t spray quite correctly - make sure to store upright and wipe the spray nozzle after each use to prevent product buildup affecting the spray.

Used this for a couple of decades when I worked as a nurse and it remains the most effective product I’ve ever used. Wouldn’t bother with anything else

I've been attached to a wound vacuum for a month now with another month to go. The wound is covered with large (8x10 inch) drapes of adhesive plastic, which are changed every three days. My skin around the wound was getting raw and in some areas the skin was blistering. Ouch! A nurse had Cavilon in small 1-inch pads, which worked beautifully around the wound, but it was hard to cover larger areas. I purchased Cavilon in a spray bottle, and the nurse was able to apply it to my leg (12x15 inch area). The adhesive drape went down smoothly & it adhered perfectly to the skin. It provided an excellent air-tight grip, which is necessary for the wound vacuum to do its job in helping my wound heal. The spray protects blistered skin & existing skin irritation. Well worth the price for the comfort it provides.

Ha sido comprar esto y empezar a ver la herida curarse.. habíamos probado todo y esto es lo que ha funcionado.. Leer bien el prospecto porque es ALTAMENTE INFLAMABLE así que hay que tener cuidado. Muy recomendable.
