Always worried about cheap gadgets, but this is good value and feels lime quality, works 100% as booked

I have 2 USB ports on my laptop and i wanted to expand a port to 3 or 4 but I did not want cables trailing everywhere. Saw this one on Amazon with a lot of really good reviews so I bought it for about £10. The product arrived within a couple of day, postage free, and the packaging looked very professional. The device looks very well made and as soon as I plugged it into my Windows 7 - 64 bit laptop drivers were automatically found and in less than 60 seconds it was up and running. The HUB rotates 180 degrees also. I had attached a 500GB external HD, as wireless transmitter for a mouse and I was also charging my phone from it. Worked a dream. This is a great product and does everything that I wanted. The only gripes are minor: 1. It doesn't sit in my laptop usb flushly so there is still a bit of metal from the usb plug viewable, so there is a bit of a wobble when you connect and disconnect usb devices 2. it would have been nice if it was a bit smaller, but what do I know about how these are made. [...]

Thankfully the days of devices all requiring a different connection / cable are being left behind; yet I seem to find myself in a place where just about everything is screaming out for 'yet another' USB connection (yes, I know, 'First World Problems') All my machines (albeit home desktop, laptop, etc.) have a selection of USB ports, but there's never enough available, unless I'm prepared to swap back and forth; and it was with this in mind that the 'Sabrent Mini 3-Port USB 3.0 Rotating Hub' caught my eye. Yes, the name "Sabrent Mini 3-Port USB 3.0 Rotating Hub' doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but it certainly does do exactly what it says on the tin. First, it is very light, with the main body actually turning out (what looks to be) a coated plastic, rather than alloy / aluminium (I say this, as the one I've received has a scratch right down one side). It might not be what I expected, but it's actually advantageous to have something that's very light, when it could end up in a backpack and being carried around. The 'Source' USB connection (the one that'll connect the hub to a main device or outlet) does allow for click-free rotation through 180 degrees. Very handy, as unlike USB-C, I've found that not all the ports on my devices are orientated in the most convenient way. With the main USB socket offset to one end, this means that I can swing the 3-port hub out of the way, allowing me better access. The blue (LED) illuminates immediately when plugged into a powered source (nice simple indication that it's working) and was 'auto detected' as a hub device, with no need for drivers (or updates). It's worth noting that the LED's actually quite bright, enough to light up the nearest USB port on the hub. All connections on the hub checked out, being nice and neat, secure and providing stable data transfer (at USB 3.0) rates to the devices that I connected (obviously, I already knew that the source was USB 3.0). My only concern is the build quality, and possible longevity, of the rotating connector. I've got this orientated, so that there's some support against the case, but I've fortunate that there's a 'flap' on my machine that allows for this. Given the plastic construction, and the way in which the source socket has to protrude, I'll need to wait and see just how well it stands up to regular use and movement. So far though, a nice simple, in-expensive, solution, that meets my needs; offering me the functionality / expansion that I need, for both my Win/PC and Apple/iOS devices.

As an ambassador for the Bloodhound SSC Project I often go in to schools to talk to children about the project. I usually use a Powerpoint presentation controlled by a wireless clicker. To use my memory stick and my clicker I need two USB ports, but with so many USB connected gadgets in schools these days, on many occasions only one has been available. This gadget is the answer to my problem. It can hold my memory stick and my clicker receiver and only needs one USB port on the school's computer. It also looks very neat. So far, apart from testing it at home, I have only used it once and it did the job perfectly. For providing multiple USB ports, I can thoroughly recommend this device.

I got this because the Surface laptop in all its glory has just ONE USB port. Completely pointless! This gives me 3 and also gives me the option of keeping certain devices plugged into it like receivers but I can still move the entire thing to another laptop/pc without unplugging them. Worked well initially but then the bluetooth usb rec plugged into it for my headset started getting choppy. I put this into the docking station connected to the second usb port and this seemed to fix it - maybe the splitter did not give enough power to it? But then the keyboard/mouse got choppy...again moving the receiver to the docking station fixed it but then what was the point of this device if everything went to the dock. In the end I chucked it away as it was causing too much grief - if it works I think it is great especially the fact it can swing either direction but when it does not...its a headache

I needed extra USB ports so i bought this. It rotates fully so it doesn't get in the way of a charger cable or anything else you might have on your laptop. A great gadget and a great price

absolutely total rubbish. as soon as I put this in the laptop it HUNG the laptop after putting 2 x usb drives in i wanted to copy. took it out everything fine. dont know whether it was the build quality but this was absolutely rubbish. I can't even be bothered to return it so it's now in the bin. questionable build quality IMHO. Save your money and avoid this brand as clearly no QA on the stuff.

Serves the purpose of expanding the easily available ports on my desktop computer brilliantly. Very compact, doesn't impinge on desk space at all, no annoying cables. Because of its very compact design, where the ports are very close together, it will only take thinner USB connectors. But as moving the thinner items to this port has freed up space, the larger devices now fit directly onto the desktop so problem solved. May get another for the laptop... Neat and tidy, functional, cheap. What more could you ask?

Llevo usandolo 2 horas a pleno rendimiento y la verdad es que sobrepasa mis expectativas el material se nota q es de buena calidad se conecta perfectamente y soporta muy bien el alto rendimiento q le estoy dando, por otra parte es logico q por el material q esta hecho se caliente pero por lo demas perfecto

Kablosuz, direkt bağlantılı ve 3.0 USB olan USB çoklayıcı çok nadir. Bu tipte, güvenilir bir ürün ben neredeyse hiç bulamamıştım fakat bu ürün benim isteklerimi gayet tabi karşıladı. Güvenle alabilirsiniz. Ben kablo sevmediğim ve 3.0 bağlantıyı tercih ettiğim için bu ürünü tercih ettim fakat siz kabloyu dert etmiyorsanız 3.0 girişleri olan 5'li çoklayıcılar da bulabilirsiniz.
