Baking Chocolate Chips - Semi-Sweet 2 Kg Big Value Bag

I've been buying Kirkland chocolate chips for making chocolate chip cookies for the grand children for years. No the product isn't anything up-market but is better and cheaper than other chocolate s=chips which seem to be available in small quantities at several times the price. Each time I buy the Kirkland brand, the quality seems to be the same. Cooking chocolate lasts a very long time in the cupboard (store in a cool, dry place, preferably in an airtight container) so I always bulk buy it. Having it in chips makes it much easier to use than a block of chocolate, which needs to be chopped up anyway if you're melting it to make brownies.

These are great for baking and use in ice cream making but really they are a little large and could be half the size …… they would also go further then aswell

I usually purchase these from Costco, but convenience (and Covid) forces me to purchase from Amazon at an inflated price. Excellent product though and very dark chocolate. Great for all baking and a treat for hot chocolate too.

2 kg of good quality semi-sweet chocolate chips, perfect for baking. I added these to my waffle mix and they came out perfect - next up, chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. If your recipe calls for semi-sweet chocolate chips, then these are the ones to get. Just be mindful it is 2kg worth which could be a lot depending on how much you need. It does come in a strong resealable bag which is very handy and the packaging is easy to open. When I say resealable, it is the press top closure that works, not the useless piece of tape.

I've bought these twice now. It's the most economical way to buy chocolate chips if you do a lot of baking - the bag lasts for ages and is sealable. The flavour is good for baking - not too sweet. Not sure about non-vegan comment someone has made. These don't contain any animal ingredients as far as I can see.

I like to have a supply of these on hand. Costco did a good job in finding a good chip, not too big, melts well, is great in cookies, and the size means you're not having to buy smaller bags, but you're ready for the next batch.

Excellentes pépites de chocolat, avec un vrai goût de chocolat noir, bien meilleur que dans les supermarchés. J'en suis à mon deuxième paquet, et je rachèterai encore cette marque.

Before discovering this giant bag of chocolate chips on Amazon, we tried so many different make-do substitutes on German grocery store shelves - and they all failed. Either they were waxy, or too expensive and came in a tiny box, or they wouldn't melt satisfactorily, or they were horribly bitter, or they were a pain to use - I had even resorted to chopping up chocolate bars!
