Great looking compost bin
Bought to replace a previous one that had rusted inside a little from composting bags leaking. Perfect for me! Great for one person who eats lots of vegetables and fruit. Easy to carry to my garden compost bin. And easy to clean. I keep it under my sink and there are no odours due to the carbon filter. I’ve never experienced a problem with flies as some other customers have.

Best food waste bin
This is absolutely perfect! Not only does it look nice, it holds a sensible amount of waste which makes it easy to carry to the compost bin. Odour free. Great quality container. It has been a game changer

Tape up the air holes
For my purposes, this is ideal, but others might want something different. Purchased July 2023, now March 2024 and I'm still really happy with the product. This bin quickly attracted loads of fruit flies, because it has holes in the lid. I have no clue why they put holes in it. Using a carbon filter was completely useless, you just get all the odour still plus fruit flies, so I just taped up the lid inside with packaging tape. Only had to do this once and the tape has stayed on. I've had zero issues with flies/odour around the bin ever since. The bin is pretty small (see photo with banana for size comparison lol), but it's perfect for me in a household where we cook at least 2 meals per day that generate fruit and veg scraps. I have to empty it once per day. The lid: there is a narrow rubber strip set into the lip of the lid (see photo). This is to create a seal to prevent odour from escaping. This works fine, however be aware that food will get stuck under the rubber seal and you'll need to remove the rubber strip and scrub everything, then put the seal back on. Over time, I can see the seal will probably wear out quite quickly doing this, which is a downside, however for the time being it the rubber seal is not deteriorating, and it does work to keep odour in the bin. Another review mentioned rusting on the lid, and it's true it will get some rust on it, however if you look at my pictures you'll see it's not too bad. Zero rusting inside the bin, and I wash mine out just with water every day. This metal bin definitely beats buying a plastic one. It's great environmentally speaking, and aesthetically it has a classy old-time appeal. Great for the price.

value for money
Very good price compared with shop. Has a retro look about it and well made of metal, not at all flimsy. Love the colour and very stylish. I had the cream version before this one for 10 years and only got rid of it because it had rusted inside due to seepage from bags, nothing else wrong with it.

Super caddy.
A very sturdy, good sized caddy with well fitting lid. Looks really elegant on kitchen top, exactly matching my units.

Good quality but poor lid fit
Seems to be a well finished and solidly built bin. Looks good. The lid does not fit at all well. There is a rubber seal around the joint, but it seems too fat for the lid to go down properly. It needs two hands to get on and off and never fully closes (hinged with a better fitting seal would be ideal). There are also vent holes on the lid with a bit of course sponge behind it (as I have seen on some similar compost caddies). I'm not sure why this is needed as you don't need to get air in there, the food waste is only going to be there for a day or so before moving outside. The holes seem to cause quite a lot of fruit flies to get in and out.

Great looking compost bin
I love the look of this bin that I bought for my kitchen. Great for compost. Smell absorber in the top is working great. It seals well too. I put compostable bags in to make cleaning easier. It is a good size for a small bin

It’s a pretty good purchase
The composter is very useful for any sort of food waste. Soon as it’s full, I empty it into the outdoor composter or brown bin to avoid food waste going with general waste and into landfill. The composter eliminates any bad smells with the highly effective carbon filter. It certainly looks great in the kitchen, however the lid doesn’t form a proper seal - doesn’t quite align properly. Can be a bit of a pain to clean, especially if left for several days without emptying. Good sturdy handle, and value for money isn’t bad as it’s a long term investment for a product that’s unlikely to fail/break.
