Excellent MiDI interface - no driver needed for MacOS, bus powered.
The MidiPlus 2x2 required no drivers for MacOS and is bus powered, so no separate power supply needed. It worked perfectly in Logic Pro after telling the MacOs AudioMIDI set up app how I wanted it connected to my external 5 pin DIN MIDI devices. I got great support from the manufacturer to ensure I used the right connector as the 2x2 is fitted with a USB-B mini socket. (So I bought an USB-B Mini to USBc lead and connected the MidiPlus to my Apple Studio Display, which is itself connected to my MacBook Pro via Thunderbolt over USBc.) So my only suggestion for MidiPlus is that their next iteration, it would be better to have a USBc socket as this is the most common connector these days. Other than that, the MidiPlus 2x3 is excellent - superb performance and great value for money if you already have, as I did, an audio interface and so just need a separate MIDI interface. If you need MIDI interface (with 5 pin DIN) AND an audio interface, there are many audio interfaces that include a MIDI interface - such as Arturia’s MiniFuse 2 and 4 - so you end up with one box (not two) and use only one USBc port on you Mac.

Works great.
In the midst of buying an Audient iD22 for my studio and "half-retiring" my loved C600, I realized my midi keyboard (which doesn't have working drivers for Win10 64) would have no more midi ports to connect to. The solution was, obviously, to get a new midi interface. But paying a considerable amount for one was out of the picture - a midi interface either works, or it doesn't - unlike an audio interface, there's not a lot of bells and whistles. And like that, I found myself searching on Amazon for the cheapest 2x2 midi interface I could find. Before buying this product, I had never heard about Midiplus and was considering an M-Audio, but the cheaper price and the two positive reviews led me to choose this one. I was not disappointed. The shipment was amazingly fast (36 hours for a normal shipping, as I'm in Portugal) and it works just like you expect it to: A driverless, painless installation. Although glossy plastic is never a good look, I can't say it looks terrible, and the LEDs for port indication are somewhat useful. If you're not on the road with it, it should hold up fairly well; if your intent is to take it with you, choose something else: While not super fragile, I'm sure a metal housing will be more appropriate. *TLDR version* Works great. No drivers required. If you want something to take on the road with you, get something else; if not, get this.

Great midi interface for the money
Excellent product - does just what it should and at a great price. Maybe a little fragile for heavy gigging but just treat it with respect!

Good for a month no more
This product only lasted a month or so before the ports broke, could work as an emergy inbetween but otherwise avoid this product

Falling to pieces on first use!
The midi seems to work fine but the item is built really poorly. I plugged a midi cable in the front and it pushes the sockets on to the flimsy plastic plate at the back which immediately cracked...There is a metal party of ther case but the sockets are not connected to this which seems crazy. On the plus side the seller accepted return and refunded very quickly which I am grateful for. I paid a little more for something with full metal casing.

Works perfectly
Needed another couple of ins and outs and this does the job perfectly. No problem at all with bi directional Sysex . Works a treat.

Broke within 10 minutes.
It didn't work at first and then worked for about 3 minutes before turning off. Got it back running again and then turned off and wouldn't go back on again. Absolutely useless, sent it back instantly and got refunded.

Easy to use
Use this to connect my keyboard to the audio software on my laptop. A great buy though a little costly for what it was.

I honestly don't know what some of the whiney complaints are about here. It's probably from people that have no clue what MIDI is, or they're on a Mac and didn't read the instructions to download the drivers from their site. You use this with devices that have 5-pin DIN MIDI ports (like older drum machines and synthesizers) so that they can communicate with your computer. It gives you 2 MIDI In and 2 MIDI out ports. I plugged in the USB cable to my PC, and software drivers immediately started downloading to my computer because it's a system compliant device. I didn't have to waste time going to a website to download drivers. When it was done, I went into my Digital Audio Workstation, and immediately found the new MIDI ports listed for use! Lights above each port indicate when data has been received or transmitted. Because this is made of hard plastic, the only drawback is that the MIDI cables can be heavier than the device itself, so unless you weigh it down with something, it might tilt forward in the direction of the cables, depending on how they are hanging. I used an empty coffee cup, but a paperweight or a nice ornamental rock will work fine. For the price, this thing works great! I had an M-Audio Midisport 2x2 box that I loaned to a fellow recording engineer years ago, but her studio got robbed after that. I finally got around to replacing it. Glad I did.

Das Gerät lief ohne Treiber sofort an meinem Mac Pro. Einfach, günstig, tut was es soll. Mir reichen die zwei Midi Kanäle.
