Bothy Threads Cross Stitch Kit - Love Blossoms

Overall very happy with this design. It’s beautiful and quite breathtaking now it’s framed and ready for it’s new owners. I didn’t use the material provided as I prefer to work on linen. This had an adverse effect on the lace the places sewn weren’t big enough so I had to improvise. The only bug bear I had was the metallic thread was a blinking nightmare to use! Short strands prevented it from fraying and knotting. Lots of silk left over very generous with materials. I also didn’t like using brown to outline everything didn’t feel it did the picture the justice it deserved so I used a dark grey. Beads and small plastic flowers fiddly but all done in 5 hours in between juggling two young children. Thankyou bothy I like your designs 😁

Am doing this cross stitch kit at the moment and it is a pleasure to do! I am making it as a present for some friends. Very easy to follow the instructions and looks amazing already. Good quality threads and fabric. I actually look forward to sitting down and doing a bit more!

It's very pretty, the design is simple enough and the threads and needles all provided. I found the fact that I ahd to trim and stick together the chart a bit of a pain but it is easy to follow, very clear, the instructions that came with are clear too. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the silver metallic thread that the trunk and branches of the tree are stitched out of, it is awful, you ahve to really careful not to pull it too tight on your needle or it frays it and then it starts to break down and you can't pull it through the holes in the fabric. If I was doing another I would substitute the metalic thread with a silver grey standard silk.

My wife is the captain of this ship, it’s a challenge for someone who hasn’t done a crossstich for a while. She will in her methodical way, boss it and create a long lasting memory, the whole setup is quality, I recommend it to anyone who has the patience to do them.

It’s beautiful when finished, and I agree with other reviews that the metallic thread is challenging but worth it.

This is quite an intricate design with lots of small patterns but there were only full stitches which made it easier. I found the outlining took nearly as long as the full stitches but was really worth it. I didn’t use the flower cut outs as I thought the finished picture didn’t need them. The beads were intricate but bought another dimension to the picture. Like some other reviewers I didn’t like using the metallic thread however it looked nice and I had a grey frame which complimented it beautifully. Would recommend this kit but don’t expect to do it quickly - I ended up with some very late nights to get it finished for a wedding - but it was well worth it.

Overall, very pleased with the whole product. Plenty of threads, as others have mentioned the metallic is a little harder to use but not problematic as I expected, as it gave some extra depth to the final appearance. The instructions where very clear and concise. Would recommend.

The kit comes with fabric, thread, and instructions. It is somewhat complicated and I would not recommend it for beginners. The materials are beautiful. I have not yet completed the project, so I don’t know if enough thread is included. So far so good.

Leider stimmen die Farben des Garns nicht so gut mit dem Bild überein. Ansonsten istces ein schönes Bild und das Material ist hervorragend vorbereitet. Der Versand war schneller als gedacht 👍
