These are great wheels. Really smooth and super quiet. I needed these for an office chair which previously had standard plastic casters that were beginning to fall apart after 10 years, and they had always been a bit noisy on my wooden floors so I thought I’d give the rollerblade style wheels a try. I can’t believe I didn’t buy these years ago. They are almost frictionless and silent as my chair glides where I want it to go a the slightest touch. If I was prone to hyperbole then I might compare it to how astronauts must feel when they are floating free on the space station, but it’s only a set of wheels so I’ll stop short of that and just say they are super excellent and impressively smooth. I’ve seen lots of reviews of other wheels saying they don’t last long, but these seem to be holding up fine even after the extra weight I’ve gained over Christmas. Hopefully they’ll continue to perform for years to come too. If I have one negative, it is that they are almost too frictionless. On the second day I had them on, I stood up to grab something on a shelf and gave the chair the tiniest nudge with the back of my knee, which was enough to start the chair traveling backward away from me by the time I went to sit back down. It was a close shave but I managed to escape a comedy gold fall on my behind by grabbing the desk before I went down. Yes, I wanted my new wheels to be frictionless and quiet, but I got more than I bargained for there. So, just be careful if you’ve not had such excellent wheels before and you’ll love them as much as I now do. Totally recommended.

I have found these caster wheels quite good so much so that I bought a second set for my other new office chair. They are silent on the cement floor, esay to fit and they look really good. They are smooth. I like them. I have now been using them for about one month and they do look sturdy. I do not have e a carpet and so cannot moment so much as to if one would need a carport protector. I do not think that a carpet protector would be required. It is probably best to use them before you buy a carpet protector. Personally, if I had a carpet floor, I would not buy the carpet protector, these caster wheels have a bigger diameter. So easy to install and super simple. The difference they make is amazing, so much better on a hard floor and ridiculously smooth! Get them!!

While working from home in lockdown, I noticed my hard plastic office chair wheels were starting to damaging the concrete floor. I considered buying a cushioned mat, but then I found these wheels. They wheels themselves are much like micro-scooter wheels. The reduce rolling resistance so moving the office chair while seated is a lot easier. They appear will made and durable. I am not sure if office chair wheels are of a standard size, but before purchasing it would be a good ideas to remove one of you existing wheels and compare the measurements of the connecting spindle. They are 11mm in diameter and 22m long. There is a diagram on wheels' web page, showing the dimensions.

Very easy to fit, just make sure you get the correct diameter spindles, most are 11mm but some are 10mm, I believe Ikea use 10mm. The wheel bearings are sealed ball races as for rollerblade wheels and the caster bearings are a double row ball-race; as these are not sealed and I could not see any grease in them, I used some spray grease in all 10 of them before fitting. Looking at the build quality I am expecting a long service life from them, but only time will tell on that one, however considering the punishment and abuse these wheels tolerate on roller blades, being on the bottom of a chair, they should last a long long time.

Like many great stories, this one began with hope. I just wanted to give my office chair a little boost a couple of extra inches, you know, to really elevate my game. After all, a few extra inches never hurt anyone… or so I thought. 😏 The new wheels arrived looking sleek and full of promise. I fitted them proudly, imagining myself gliding effortlessly across the room like the CEO of Comfort. But within 24 hours, my dreams and my bearings came crashing down. Suddenly, my chair was firing rogue BBs across the floor like it had joined an office warfare simulator. The smooth rolling? Gone. Turning? Forget it. The only direction these wheels wanted to go was straight to disappointment. And just when I thought things couldn’t get worse, they started leaking grease everywhere. My once-pristine carpet now looks like it’s auditioning for an abstract oil painting called Regret in Black. Needless to say, they’ve been returned. I’ve gone back to my old, slightly shorter wheels because it turns out, sometimes a few less inches, when used properly, can still give you a much smoother ride.

Probably good on hard floors but terrible on carpet which surprised me.

I just got these wheels today as I have just had a new laminate floor laid throughout my bungalow and do not want to scratch it with my PC chair or anything lol everything has felt pads and such but I saw these wheels and read a few reviews and found them mixed, I can only speak for myself and found they fit MY chair perfect, a direct replacement for the originals and FAST across the floor lol nice and smooth. I would recommend them yes.

Super roulettes silencieuses et parfaites pour un sol en plancher flottant. Les anciennes roulettes rayaient le sol raison pour laquelle je les ai changées et je ne suis pas déçu après quelques mois d'utilisation tout est ok.

Poner estás ruedas ha sido como el día y la noche en mi silla de oficina. Las anteriores no rodaban y estaban arañando el parqué. Estás no hacen ruido y se deslizan suavemente, eso sí, no hay que venirse arriba empujando porque te puedes ir contra el armario o la ventana fácilmente.

Hatte schon vor mir einen neuen Bürostuhl zuzulegen, da stieß ich im Baumarkt zufällig auf diese Rollen... Mit der Zeit nutzte sich bei den alten Rollen der darunter befindliche Parkettfußboden deutlich ab und zeigte hässliche Gebrauchsspuren. Diese Rollen dann im Internet gesucht, gefunden und für die hälfte des üblichen Baumarktpreises erworben. Nach schneller Lieferung, ließen sich die neuen kugelgelagerten Rollen gegen die alten Drehstuhlrollen austauschen/Montieren, da die Trägerstifte die gleichen Abmessungen aufwiesen. Und seitdem gleitet man im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes fast geräuschlos über den Boden, ohne den Boden zu belasten. Vorteile: - Material der Rollen ist angenehm weich und schont den Bodenbelag - gleitet fast geräuschlos über Bodenflächen - schnelle unkomplizierte Montage mit einer Flachzange - Rollen laufen sehr leichtgängig durch Kugellager - gewährleisten im Sitzen eine stabile Fortbewegung - man benötigt keine Schutzmatte mehr um den Bodenbelag zu schonen - man erspart sich Instandsetzungskosten für Parkettreparaturen Nachteil: - Es befinden sich keine Stopper an den Rollen, (die ich aber vorher auch nicht brauchte) - Sitzhöhe verändert sich um wenige cm (läßt sich jedoch mit Lifthebel i.d.R ausgleichen) - Kinder können durch die Leichtgängigkeit der Rollen, auf die Idee kommen durch die Wohnung zu rollen ;o) Auf jeden Fall ist das Produkt auch im Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis zu empfehlen und wird für die Zukunft an all meine Bürodrehstühle montiert werden.

Tolle Rollen... gehen leicht über das Laminat... Durch eine Renovierung in meinem Zimmer ist auch der Bodenbelag erneuert worden. Laminat! Das haben die Originalrollen an meinem Bürostuhl nur widerwillig akzeptiert. Ich musste den Stuhl oft hin und her schieben, bis ich in die Wunschrichtung rollte und das war auch noch recht laut. Vermutlich hätte der Laminatboden in diesem Bereich einen größeren Verschleiß erfahren. Ganz anders mit diesen neuen Rollen. Erst mal passten die Rollen 1:1 in den Stuhl dank 11x22mm Stift. Dann rollet der Bürostuhl geräuschlos fast von alleine... echt der Hammer. Fast schon zu leicht. Denn ich hätte mich beinahe neben den Stuhl gesetzt, da er sehr unbemerkt weggerollt war. Da brauch ich eine Anlernphase. ;-) 2 Kugellager in der Rolle und ein Drucklager in der Achse machen das möglich. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Des roulettes qui roule , un peu plus haute que els roulettes d'origine , de taille "standard" qui font le taff !! Attention !! : a n'utiliser qu avec des base "étoiles" très solides car vous etes plus haut et donc plus de contrainte ! Sinon niquel!
