Ordered this Phonics Flash Card set for two reasons- to help my five year old continue to strengthen and expand her new reading skills, and to introduce phonics to my three year old. With this in mind I love the fact that the cards are organized into a unique repetition system and color coded with rings so you can keep track. One bundle is meant to practice daily, one for twice a week, one for once a week. It keeps their minds engaged and expanding and is supposed to reintroduce sounds right before their forgotten. Both my 3 and 5 year old enjoy working with these flash card sets, my 5 year old even takes them to her room to go through on her own sometimes. I also appreciate the size and quality given that theyre intended for repeated use with young children, the card are made of material that isn't easily crumpled, bent, or torn. This is our second Scholar Ant product and we are again super happy with this learning tool!

I got these phonics flash cards for my 4.5 yr old and they’ve been super helpful! He’s strugling a bit with letter sounds, but these make it fun and easy. The pictures are bright and engaging, and the cards are sturdy (which is a must with little hands lol). We practice a few every night and I can already see improvement! Definitely recommend for any parent tryna help their kid with reading.

The size is perfect for little hands. The cards are sturdy and well made. I like the matte finish, seems to make reading the text easier to read. Color coding makes organization easy and simple. This is definitely a tool that will be used a lot during the beginning phase of reading.

These phonics flash cards are the bomb for teaching kids how to read and say words correctly. Recently I started using them to teach my 5 year old daughter and she;s been making a great progress so far. The cards have these fun and colorful illustrations that grab her attention and make it easy for her to read and remember each phonic sound. We’ve also been using them to play games and do reading activities, which she absolutely loves. They're also durable and come in a nice sturdy box with 4 rings and instructions. Great tool!

Love these! Doing preschool at home with my little & these are a great product for that. There has been a few small errors but nothing that has caused confusion for our little one.

The Phonics Flash Cards have been very effective when working with my 2nd grade grandson. He reads well, but vey slowly, as he phonetically sounds out every word (what I do not like about teaching reading phonetically). Recognizing words without struggling to sound out each syllable appears to be happening more with use of the flash cards. If you follow the suggestions for use it is a very effective system, though it requires parent/adult dedication to regular use. I would highly recommend purchasing this set to help young readers.

Not great, it's some cards and words each in color groups to designate the degree of difficulty and different word blends, lengths and such. I think it is way over-priced which is partially why the 3-stars. The other reason is it just isn't that engaging for the kids I'm working with. there are a few (4) pictures and words beside them, then some additional words along one side of the card, and then 2 sentences at the bottom. The box and package didn't come with any instructions or use suggestions. There is some value in having kids read the words or try to sound them out, along with the sentences, but this is just more basic than I had wanted and priced too high for what is provided. The cards themselves are well made however, and seem durable unless intentionally damaged - think they will hold up pretty good. All in all not that satisfied with the purchase.
