Men's Sweatproof Undershirt - Rayon Blend V Neck - Slim Fit - with Sweat Pads

For 32 years I have been plagued with Hyperhidrosis. I sweat profusely under my arms. Thats the only place. I don't have B.O. so I have always considered myself lucky. I have been pretty good at hiding it by keeping my arms to my sides as much as possible. It has ruined multiple shirts, jackets suits etc. If I wear a suit jacket, I will sweat through the jacket. It is super embarrassing. I have tried prescription deodarant, I have shaved my underarms (I am a man), I have taped Maxi pads under my arms, The only option was either Botox injections or recently Mira dry which I could afford neither. (I guess I could have if I did flex spending etc., but I chose not too). Even though it has plagued me most of my adolescent/adult life, I was still super embarrassed. Fast forward to almost 3 weeks ago, October 1st. I ran across this T-shirt while looking into the Mira Dry procedure. I thought, what the hell, the reviews are good I'll give it a shot. WOW!!! What a LIFESAVER!!!! I bought 5 shirts. I wear an XL naturally. They fit very snug. I probably could have went with an XXL, but it is not uncomfortable. No sweat. 0. NONE! The underarms are very padded. They soak it up and it naturally evaporates. It will not stop sweat anywhere on the upper torso other than the underarms. I can now raise my arms and not have to worry about being embarrassed. Some people have complained about the padding under the arms. I can put up with that since they keep me dry. I even wore a jacket on a 65 degree day all day. I thought oh crap, I bet I am sweating through the shirt. Nope. Nothing!! Thank you Thompson for giving me my confidence back!

I spent a fair amount of time looking into the Thompson Tee before making this purchase, I almost bought directly from their website but the most common complaint is that shipping is a nightmare. Ordering through Amazon meant paying a little more, but the tradeoff is that I got it the same day because of Prime and how early I placed my order. I run hot, always have. So wearing dress shirts in the summer is always a risk, but I tested this shirt on a 91-degree day in NYC and let me tell ya, it worked like a charm. I wore this for approximately 4 hours, I spent a fair amount of that time rushing around by foot, in direct sunlight. As soon as I got home, I went right to a mirror and checked, not a single damp spot anywhere to be found. The second time I wore it, temperature conditions were similar, a little cooler but fairly humid out. I wore it for approximately 10 hours and still, no sweat marks on my shirt. As for the fit; this is meant to be snug on your body as shown in the photo for the product. It takes some time to get used to but wasn't uncomfortable to wear. My one complaint (if it can even be considered one) is that I wish the v-neck was a little deeper. Currently, if you unbutton more than the top, the shirt will show. Minor but something to consider if you prefer to unbutton two or even three buttons. A simple solution would be to either change the current cut of the V so it is at least an inch deeper or to offer this in a deep v-neck. The price is a bit steep for an undershirt but it works for me and was worth the money invested. I will definitely be purchasing a few more of these but will most likely wait to see how this purchase holds up after a few washes. PS Read the care instructions carefully, this is an item that can't be bleached.

Amazing quality. I use these with all my dress shirts and have been wearing some pairs for over a year. I have about 10 that I rotate through regularly. The quality is excellent—I haven’t had any issues with holes like some others have mentioned. These undershirts do a great job protecting my dress shirts from deodorant stains and sweat marks, especially during meetings. Florida is hot, and it's hard not to sweat, but these help a lot. I absolutely recommend them and am buying more now.

Very tight fitting, good for under a button down. Shirt has never allowed sweat to show through in armpit area, as advertised. Thing to know though, is from the way the shirt accomplishes this, your armpits will always be more hot wearing this compared to a regular undershirt, since the material is doubled or tripled up in there. There is intimate contact between your armpit skin and the shirt - which means no room for airflow, and is why you will likely accumulate sweat wearing this. This is an excellent choice if you KNOW you will sweat (nerves, heat, etc). In other scenarios, you may be more comfortable with a traditional cotton shirt. Having soaked armpits in this shirt is uncomfortable; but not as bad as cotton undershirt soaked armpits, with button down armpits also soaked.

Not worth the price at all. I'm not even someone who sweats that much to begin with, so I was very surprised that I had to wear another undershirt over it to prevent staining. It's also very uncomfortable as it leaves your underarms feeling wet all day. Super disappointed that I shelled out this much for something that doesn't even work.

Bought for a full day assessment centre job interview. As recommended I purchased 1 size down from my usual tshirt size and this was the correct choice. This undershirt should be skin tight yet still comfortable which it was. I'm somebody who has always suffered from hypohydrosis. I ALWAYS take a jacket or coat with me which I use to cover up sweat, and hide my embarrassment, but this ultimately makes the problem worse. For this job interview though, I had to wear a smart office shirt without a jacket (company dress code). Within 30 minutes I would usually have underarm sweat marks and back sweat showing through the shirt as large wet patches. With this undershirt on, absolutely NOTHING!! Dry throughout the entire day! As there is no padding on the back (just underarms), I worried that my back would still be vulnerable, however the 95% bamboo material did an excellent job of absorption, not allowing any moisture to break through to my outer officewear. To emphasise, this was in the U.K. on the hottest day in over 40 years (35°c), in an office block without air conditioning, doing team-building tasks that required physical hard work. After the team-building task, all candidates were sweating profusely from the face, including me, however I was one of the few without a mark on my shirt. This allowed me to stay calm and focus on the interview, without worrying about embarrising marks I would usually have had on my shirt. I did well at the interview and this product completely improved my confidence on the day. As someone that has uncontrollable sweat on even cold days, the fact this undershirt did its job in much hotter conditions and in a stressful situation, is nothing short of a miracle! After a short while of wearing the shirt, I didn't really notice I had it on; this is also why it's important that the undershirt is not a lose fit, it should be skin tight but not uncomfortable. The shirt is unnoticebale to others looking at you, there's nothing to suggest you are wearing anything other than an office shirt by itself. If the idea of wearing formal shirts and certain colours fills you with dread, give this a try. It's expensive yes, but if you suffer from hypohydrosis, it's a small price to pay to get your confidence back. I paid for this product myself and have written this review as an unbiased reaction to my experience with the undershirt.

It makes you feel colder must be fit so take smallet size

The underarm does not fully protect from sweets because it was not designed to fully hold tight your underarm when wearing.

I work in the film production industry and during shoots am usually running around sweating like Niagara Falls. I used this recently and can confirm that during a 12hr stint, not one drop of sweat made its way to my layered shirt on top. It also meant that sweat odour was non existent, so I felt very confident throughout the day.
