The flip locks are fast and reliable, and the fluid head is a great bonus—panning is smooth and steady. I’ve used it with my DSLR and it held up great with no shake or drift. Handles heavier lenses too.The tripod folds down compactly, and the included case is well-made. Setup is quick, and the overall build quality feels premium. While it doesn’t have some advanced features like a monopod option, for everyday photography—landscapes, long exposures, and portraits—it’s more than enough. It's easily adjustable for when you need the extra height too.Highly recommended if you want something dependable without spending a fortune, I paid ~£70 which I think is a bargain. Of course if you opt for a carbon fibre model it will be much lighter but even at 1-2kg it really doesn't weigh much.You get a lot for your money with Smallrig and this does not dissappoint.

I bought this tripod to replace a Hama Star tripod I've used for 17 years but within 2 weeks, parts of this tripod have come apart. It's a good tripod but seems to have some flimsy parts that easily become unscrewed or pulled out. I've already had problems (hopefully fixed for now) with the plastic ring that allowed the bottom part of the central column to to lock or unlock and also I've had problems with the head screw coming out of the top column. Additionally, the ball head that comes with the tripod had difficulty keeping my Nikon D850 in place and the would move after a period of time even though the camera is wihtin the weight restrictions.

I’m impressed with this tripod. It’s light enough to take on a long walk without being cumbersome but it’s still sturdy enough. You can’t add too much weight like lights but if you’re filming outside and need to be mobile and able to get the tripod up quickly then I would recommend. Good value for money. I’m always happy with SmallRig kit and this is no exception.

This is a lovely buy. Stylish and lightweight, I almost feel like a pro. And the fact that you can use a remote, wow, now I get to stand and film my son from different angles during athletics.....brilliant

Considering the price it does what it says in the tin. For me, having a small travel-sized tripod was key ,and it's definitely that. I've had it for a year now and sadly it's really falling apart. The mechanism that slides it up and down has failed, and so it can only be used locked off. It's ok for a bit but definitely not a long-lasting item.

This tripod was bought after a fair bit of research when I was looking for a decent tripod that would do me on holiday. I was pleasantly surprised at just how good it was, especially as it was a very good price. It handles really well, all the legs easily slide in and out without any sticking or difficulty, the locks also work amazingly well, no legs slip on this tripod. It even comes with spare spukes which are really handy when you need a bit more stability. The ball head works a treat and locks precisely when you need it to. All in all I think I picked a cracking tripod for my holidays although since getting it, I love it and never go out without it. My big heavy tripod is consigned to a cupboard for the foreseeable future, this tripod is light weight and very robust, I just love it 😀
