I am writing this review after 1.5 months of using this speaker, so you can trust me blindly. Bass Test: For the price (₹999), the bass is excellent. It is not disturbing; it is pleasant to the ears. The bass is bottom-firing, so if you place the speaker on a hard surface—especially a wooden surface—you can really feel the bass. Treble Test: The treble is good enough. Speakers in this price segment are mainly focused on bass, so the treble is good, but not the best. Vocals: Vocals are excellent when you play songs; it never disappoints. However, when you play videos with vocals, like movies or YouTube videos, the vocals can sound hollow. You can fix this by using an equalizer. After applying the equalizer, I can watch a full movie without any distortion or hollow effect. Volume: The volume is good enough. At full volume, it almost feels like an old 2.1 sound system. At 30%–50% volume, it is loud enough for normal use. Battery: The battery is decent, but it could be better. You can watch a full 5-hour web series on one charge. For music, it lasts about 2.5 to 3.5 hours at 70% volume. Charging Time: Charging is slow. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to fully charge. Final Verdict: That’s my review. You can buy it blindly if your budget is tight. No tension about bass—the bass is very good in this speaker.

Good product and Amazing sound quality like JBL bluetooth speaker. I purchased this product at the Rs. 879. I am amazed with this speaker sound quality. Battery backup is good. Overall durability is pretty decent. Bass is too Deep.

I got 12/07/25 the Protronic Sound Drum 1, and I’m really impressed . The design is visually appealing — it looks great and feels high-quality when you touch it. Guys, Please DO NOT buy this poor quality product. On the day one, I have started to have connectivity issues. In every 15 to 30 minutes, it drops the connection and auto-shuts off itself. I have to turn it on again & again. It is really a very bad experience. I have never face this kind of connection drop issue in any of my Bluetooth device. Before buying this product (based on Amazon reviews), I was using Mivi Play since last three years and never faced this kind of connection drop a single time. Quality of the Mivi Play is much better then this pathetic product, but it's charging port got loose and I was unable to charge, So this time I have decided to go for SoundDrum, my bad luck. Also, Amazon does not provide any option to return or replace, so I had to contact the Portronics support by raising the ticket online as they don't have any service centres in any city of India. In reply they have clearly stated that Portronics does not Return/Refund/or Replace any of it's product. So there is not after sales service. It's my humble request to all of you, do not go blindly on the reviews to buy this product. Yes, it does have good quality sound, but would you be ok with the frequent connection drop issues? It's a junk for me, I would probably buy another Mivi or pay more to buy a reputed company product.
