Small rugged light, great low light levels and memory. Perfect necklace light
Very small and ruggend AA light. Good wide flood pattern with almost no bright spot. It's a flood not spot light. I prefer flashlights that start on their dimmest level and increase in brightness. This light has a memory, and stays at the level you leave it. It remembered my setting a week after twisted off. I am a fan of small Lumintop lights. The original Tool AA had my preferred dim to bright pattern (no memory). I like twist on lights, because they almost never turn on accidentally. I quarter turn most push on lights to ensure they don't accidentally turn on during transport. No tail switch makes this light smaller. The Tool series of lights could be purchased with a magnetic tail cap and/or tail switch. Great idea but I never used the magnet feature and the magnet tail didn't have the keyring hole I used all the time. I like to preserve my night vision, and not bother others in camp. So I really like the low power level of this light with a generic AA. Low light and a long runtime. Easy on the eyes and long life, perfect for backpacking or motorcycle touring. Only had the EDA15 a month, but every every Lumintop light I purchased still works fine. First one is over a decade old. Proof enough for me to know they are built to last. While camping I find AA lights make great neck lights. It places the light where you can find it, use it, and not loose it. I place a tiny key-ring on the flashlight, just large enough to pass 2 paracord lines through. Tie the ends of one armspan of paracord together with an overhand knot to form a large loop. Holding the overhand knot, pass the other end of the loop through the key-ring. Make a cow hitch in the bend passed through the key-ring and slip the overhand knot through the cow hitch to make a two strand up necklace sized loop trapping the flashlight. Wearing it provides handy access to both light and length of paracord. See attached photos (2.5mm polyester used in place of paracord). The cow hitch can be slid (prusik like) to tighten the loop down to hat band size, allowing the light to also be worn as a headlamp. A loop over the led end of the light before snugging up the hat band helps to keep it pointing along your line of sight.

Simple, reliable, economical flashlight with many good features.
The flashlight has a lot of features that I like: (*) Well constructed. (*) This AA battery flashlight lasts much longer than a AAA battery flashlight would. (*) There are four power levels, plus a strobe feature, so you can choose between brightness and runtime. The brightest setting will drain the battery quickly! The lowest setting only produces 2 lumens, but is claimed to run for 65 hours with alkaline batteries! (*) The rings around the body make it easy to grip. (*) Can stand on the tail to act like a candle. (*) Includes a luminescent soft plastic/rubbery diffuser. After even a short time of use, the diffuser will glow for a long time after the flashlight is turned off. It quickly dims so that you can't really see by it, but it glows dully for a long time, making it easier to find in a dark room or tent. (*) A tail switch would be more convenient, but would also add moving parts that would make it less reliable. Instead, to change modes, you twist the flashlight off and back on again quickly. (*) The flashlight remembers the the last setting when it is turned on again. Overall, it is well constructed, a good value for the money, and looks like it will last a long time.

Great flashlight for dog-walks
I've been around long enough to know that people buy flashlights to meet a requirement. My Wife needed a flashlight while walking the dog at night. It needed to be on a key-chain small, rechargeable, and use a common battery while providing the expected light output. This met all the requirements except for the rechargeable battery, which I already had a solution for with Enloop AA Rechargeable Batteries. Speaking of, it seems like its getting harder to find stuff that runs on AA's these days, everything's using AAA batteries now, probably due to size. Anyways, depending on what you're looking for in a Flashlight, this might be your ticket. Cons: Nothing major here, but I'm not a fan of "twist cap" style flashlights. This flash light has different modes you can switch between, including a "strobe" mode. Not sure how that's going to work, "Hold on, I know you're about to attack me, let me turn on strobe mode, I gotta twist my flashlight cap on/off a few times before it cycles to strobe mode, Dang! I just cycled past it, hold on hold on... let me do it again..." But hey, you got options so that's nice. That's the only con I have. Thus the 4 stars. Over all this is a fairly simple flashlight and I've purchased other Lumintop lights in the past, they've always been a good brand and this flashlight is a continuation of the quality I've seen from them in the past. I'd recommend it, depending on what you're shopping for in a flashlight.

Very bright light in a very small package!
I have bought Lumintop flashlights before, so I expected this little flashlight to be good quality & it is! I don't have any way to measure lumens, but I can say it's very bright. It's small and lightweight enough to carry in my purse! Worth the money!

Super dim
This flashlight is very, very dim using a regular AA battery. And it won't light up at all using a 14500 battery. I tried two different brands of 14500 batteries andthe flashlight would not work with either one. The batteries worked finE in a different flashlight. I will be sending this light back for a refund tomorrow.

Great when it works, but undependable
Purchased this a year ago (mid 2024). When it works, it's a GREAT flashlight. Compact, solid and strong light. However, over time (and only occasional use), more and more often it failed to turn on when it was supposed to. If it sat for a day or two, it often would start working again. Now I can't get more than an occasional rapid blink when I twist the head. Emailed Lumintop customer service. Nothing in return. I'll replace this with something else. I wish this was dependable, because I love it otherwise.

PROS The shape of the flashlight makes it very grippy. The brightness is perfect for every day use. CONS Can't turn on with one hand. That may change as the twisting loosens up over time (maybe?) I haven't been able to figure out a convenient way to really carry it around (too big for a keychain), so like chapstick, it's just another thing to grab and slip in pocket. That might not be a con for most people, but on my way out, I don't want to think about all the loose bits-and-bobs I have to grab.

Very bright, with rechargeable battery and luminous diffuser. The light is bright enough to light up the room with the diffuser fitted. Phenomenal bright light for such a small lamp. Easily pocketable with a clip supplied also TOP QUALITY MINI FLASHLIGHT!
