Matches my Craft Room Perfectly
I had a clock just like this that I got from IKEA years ago so when it finally quit working, I was sad to think I was not going to have my beautiful clock anymore. And then I saw it on Amazon! Exact same clock, exact same color. It arrived in a timely manner, thank goodness. It has a standard alarm which I never use but it’s nice and loud. It has a soft light that you can click on with a button on the back. I wish it were possible to keep the soft light on at all times but you can’t. You have to hold the button down to use the light. The size is perfect for a desktop or night stand though. Plus it’s super easy to use. Came with instructions but I don’t think they’re necessary.

LOUD Alarm Clock...Exactly What I Was Looking For!
My twenty-something daughter is starting a new job which requires her to get up early. She put me in charge of finding an alarm clock that would ensure that she wake up in the morning. This Sharp twin-bell alarm clock meets the criteria. It is a fairly basic clock. Here's what you get:1. There are only two settings on the back of the clock--one knob is for setting the time, the other is for setting the alarm time. To set the alarm time, simply rotate the alarm knob which moves the red alarm hand on the face of the clock. For example, set the red hand on the six, and your alarm will go off at six o'clock. To be honest, you have to simply eyeball it to get a specific time--say, 6:15 or 6:30. [Note: I find that it is a good idea to simply advance the clock to see exactly what time your alarm is set to go off and adjust accordingly if it was too soon or too late. Once you've got the alarm set, return the clock to the correct time.]2. There is an alarm on/off switch on the back of the clock. To activate the alarm, turn to the "on" position. When the alarm goes off, the hammer at the top of the clock strikes the bells alternately. It is quite LOUD! The alarm will continue ringing until you turn the switch to "off." [I let it ring for ten minutes and it was still ringing.] There is no "snooze" option.3. The clock runs on a single AA battery. [I would recommend replacing it every six months. The battery may last longer, but why run the risk?]4. The hour and minute hands are luminous as well as the hash marks at each hour, but it is difficult to read the time in the dark. To remedy this, there is a "Light" button on the back of the clock which will light up the face while the button is depressed.5. The clock face is four inches in diameter. From the bottom of the clock to the top of the handle, it measures slightly less than seven inches.Overall, this is an excellent little clock for the price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Great Little Clock
Works Great, but I did not like the look and the sound of the alarm, so I sent it back. While I had it it was durable though. If you like the look it is a must buy.

Looks great, will definitely wake you up, and durable!
The media could not be loaded. Old Review from December 2013:~It looks vintage and just like it does in the picture. It's inexpensive but does a good job in waking me up. It's very loud and wakes up the entire household if it rings for long enough. I used to have trouble waking up on time but not anymore.~I also uploaded a quick video displaying the physical features of the clock. I would read the updated review below for more clear and detailed information.Updated review November 2015:I bought this alarm clock for $7.88 two years ago. Batteries aren't included, so I did put in one AA battery when I received the clock two years ago. Never had to change the battery either, so a little goes a long way. I've dropped the alarm clock from my nightstand about a dozen times in the two years I've had it, and it's held up fine. However, I recently switched to a college dorm and accidentally kicked my alarm clock down about four feet onto a hard tiled floor. This caused the battery to leak and caused the clock to stop working. Had to throw it away. I was satisfied enough with the clock that I ordered a new one, despite the clock being priced up to a whole $16.90! That's more than double what I paid when I originally bought the clock, so I did knock off a star for that. This is definitely enough to wake a moderate to heavy sleeper up. My roommate hates the alarm, though (as it wakes her up, as well). Because of this, I've been using it only as a backup alarm set ten minutes after my phone alarm. I've used several alarm clocks throughout my life, but this is by far one of the loudest I've used. Traditional alarm clocks are not nearly as loud or irritating as this is, which is a must if you're trying to get up at a certain time and don't want to accidentally sleep through your alarm. Some things to note for the long term: I don't know if I'm crazy, but I feel as if the alarm got a little less loud as time went on, but it was still plenty loud. The backlight grew dimmer and dimmer as time went on too, to the point where, just last month, it didn't work at all. This was probably an indication that the battery needed to be replaced soon. There is also an audible ticking sound with the clock, but I find that soothing rather than annoying. It's not very loud, and I don't notice the sound in the daytime. At night, when everything is still and quiet, it is more obvious. One plus is that there are no lights emitting from this clock, as found in your typical digital alarm clock. One problematic aspect is that the alarm doesn't ring exactly at the exact time you set it for. If you were to set it for 3:30, it may ring a little past three. You can see that more clearly in the video. This doesn't really bother me, and I find that if you set it for an exact time (e.g. nine on the dot), it rings more precisely than when set for an interval in between. I'm not sure why, but this never bothered me.Side note: If you're looking for a less intrusive alarm that can definitely wake you up without sound, there's the Sonic Boom (Amazon link: Sonic Alert SBJ525ss Sonic Bomb Jr., Black/Red), which shakes your bed very violently to get you up. This is a good option if you share a room and don't want to wake the other person up. Additionally, if the Sharp Analog clock somehow isn't loud enough for you, the Sonic Boom boasts 102db (not sure about the accuracy of this, but I do know it's crazy loud). The Sonic Boom is pricier, so if you're just looking for something simple and loud, I would stick with this Sharp Analog clock. However, if you're the type of heavy sleeper that can sleep through literal fire alarms ringing throughout a dorm hall, for example, buy the Sonic Boom.
