Just buy it⊠youâll find many uses!
Iâve never done plastic welding but this was a great kit to get started with. Very easy to use, tons of plastic material and accessories, which proved very useful for my first big project. A big storm had flipped and buckled the plastic slide on a play set at our church. While the broken wood parts could be repaired readily and inexpensively, to replace the slide was going to be $600. For the low price of this welding kit it was worth a try to get the kiddos playing again. It worked surprisingly well and was very easy to use. The results arenât going to be picture perfect, necessarily, but this can save you time of money. For this project I made a bend on the squiggly staples to match the curved surface, cut the wires low with side cutters, used a Dremel to grind down the ends of the metal posts and then filled in with the supplied plastic. That was to keep the posts from catching or cutting the kidsâ hands. Not pretty, but it worked, and I tested the slide myself. The welder has plenty of power and heat. It does get warm to hold after long use, but just take a break and let it cool off, or wear work gloves

Great Tool for Automotive and DIY Plastic Repairs
This upgraded 220W plastic welder is exactly what I needed for quick and reliable plastic repairs. It heats up fast, delivers plenty of power, and has handled everything Iâve thrown at it so farâfrom cracked bumpers to broken plastic tabs and brackets. The kit came with everything needed to get started, and the upgraded wattage really makes a difference in performance. Itâs easy to control, and the plastic staples bond securely and hold strong. The included case and variety of staples are also a nice bonus. If youâre doing automotive work, household repairs, or just want to extend the life of plastic parts, this tool is well worth having in the shop. Solid upgrade from the lower-powered versions Iâve used before.

Works as designed. Comes with different types of plastic welding stick. Use the right one
Works great. I fixed a broken city trash bin lid. Used a bunch of the welding staples and then melted some plastic welding sticks over the edges. Pretty strong and so far survived two pick up (machine arm and not manually dumped). My work is not the prettiest, but it's functional. Comes with a ton of items and various types of plastic welding sticks.

It's worth the money. Works really well on plastic car bumpers and trim pieces.
This is a pretty decent kit. Well worth the money. The utility knife and diagonal pliers like other people said are pretty much useless. No big deal though. Everything else the kit as with it works well. I made a modification to the gun using some of the mesh the kit came with to make vents on both sides of the iron right where the transformer is to control the heat. With my temperature gun It was over 210°, now it doesn't get over 130°. I prepared my utility sink that I started with a small hole but kept progressively making it worse cuz I had to keep redoing the repair and cutting the hole bigger. But finally I ended up with about a 5-in square patch and then a bunch of spider craps out from there. The Staples won't work if you're trying to seal up for water just a heads up. But I did use the mesh at some of the outer seams cuz they were cracking no matter what I tried as it cooled. The mesh stopped that from happening. After I purchased it I looked through other available kits, and I don't really see any other kit that is going to be better or much different than this one so probably price is the deciding factor.

Already paid for itself
I wish I would have gotten this sooner. I've already fixed an ABS plastic shroud and discharge chute on a snowblower, a measuring and dispensing jar, and a plastic piece of a toy for my kid. It's simple to use and gives me great results. The included tools are 100% trash (the knife and wire cutters). But, the staples and gun work great.

Worked Great
I was surprised how well this worked and how easy it is to use. I did need to use a die grinder to smooth out the staple leads after cutting. Provides a strong patch. All of my repairs were on the back side to the finish did not matter.

Plastic Welder
Excellent little tool that lets you repair your broken plastic belt buckles on bags, or other plastic items that may be breaking in the house. Comes with a lot of various sizes of metal supports and accessories. I always use it when something plastic breaks in my household. Easy to use, comes with supplies and accessories. Will last you a long time and is very useful. The price was very reasonable for this excellent tool.

Power cycles every 5 minutes, but good as a stapler.
This is a great tool for inserting the "nails" (or maybe you call them "staples"). It works perfectly and quickly for that purpose. As far as a "welder," however, it is very slow. I repaired my kayak and eventually gave up. You could definitely weld a square centimeter or two with this, but you have to keep putting it in the refrigerator every 5 minutes. It is good for 5 minutes, then it needs 15 minutes to cool down before you start again. This is to protect the circuitry. I will keep it for the staple ability. Also, the mesh it came with is nice. I ended up pushing that into the plastic over the nails for a more robust repair. Then, I purchased a heat gun (also on Amazon) and used the heat gun to weld in HDPE strips I bought on Amazon as well. This was fast and worked much better than this tool. So, if you're doing anything larger than 1 square cm or two, I suggest you also get a heat gun to go with this stapler. I uploaded some photos. The finished product (with the heat gun) isn't too bad! I smoothed it by using a sander to take down the high sections. Then i used the heat gun to make it turn from white and dusty back to smooth and red. Finished photo not uploaded because this is what I got BEFORE the heat gun (using this product that I am reviewing).

I recently purchased the this Plastic Welder Gun, and I must say, it has completely exceeded my expectations. As someone who loves tackling DIY projects around the house, I've often struggled with fixing broken plastic items effectively. This welder gun has turned out to be the perfect solution. Firstly, the build quality is exceptional. It feels sturdy and well-made, which gives me confidence that it will last for years to come. The ergonomic design makes it comfortable to hold and use for extended periods without causing any strain on my hands. The performance is where this tool truly shines. It heats up quickly and maintains a consistent temperature, allowing for precise control during welding. I've successfully repaired everything from cracked automotive bumpers to household items like toys and kitchenware with ease. The welds are strong and durable, and I haven't encountered any issues with them coming apart. Another feature I appreciate is its versatility. The kit came with a variety of plastic rods in different colors and materials, which enables me to match the exact type of plastic I'm working with. It's incredibly convenient not having to hunt down specific materials separately. Furthermore, the user manual provided clear instructions, making the setup and operation straightforward even for someone like me who isn't a professional welder. I was able to get started right away without any confusion. Overall, I can confidently say that this Welder Gun has become an invaluable addition to my toolkit. It's reliable, efficient, and has saved me both time and money on numerous repair projects. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or a professional looking for a dependable plastic welding solution, I highly recommend giving this product a try. It's definitely worth every penny!

We were very happy with the product when it arrived. Plenty of staples and plastic sticks were provided. The product seems nice and sturdy also. We were however very disappointed when we used it because the interior transformer got damaged on first use. The reason for this is that the gun happened to be a 110V type when in my country the mains is of 220V. There is no indication on the product information page or purchase page that this gun is of the 110V type because in such a case we would have ensured to buy a gun which was compatible with the 220V mains of our country!

Works well for repairing plastic bumpers and undershields. I have used it on my Mazda 3 front bumper and plastic shields. The melt in staples are great. The cutters work OK on the staples but might wear out after a while. The 220 watt rating means the gun heats up quickly and lets my complete my repairs easily

This is a good product! Used it to repair my green bins because they were cracked and this kit was good enough for that! I never used one of these before and then I tried. Only issue is when it gets hot it sort of turns off I guess not to overheat but then a lot of times it interferes with the actual welding process. It's a good kit and does the job but it also interferes. I got another one to complement this one and both work well together!
