Awesome bit of kit! Fast, really nimble, superb video quality. Well worth the money. Really easy to fly, decent battery life.

It's sub 250g but only just! Do not add any battery retainers or camera protectors or it'll take it over the magical weight of 250g It's not a quiet drone! Changing the propellers can make it a little quieter but not by much. It's extremely intuitive to fly using the controller. The settings are easy to figure and speed can be adjusted, it's not the fastest but then it's not really for the speed. I've got pro memory cards in it and was disappointed that max resolution and frame rate it glitched in a beautiful waterfall video I'd filmed. You'll need to purchase 2 memory cards as there's one in the drone and one in the goggles.

Bad timing on my side as they announced the Avata 2 a month after my purchase! It's a great drone, very loud but easy to get on with. I've had drones for a while now but this was my first FPV. Many use cases as the camera is fantastic. Only thing to note is the Goggles 2 that are supplied can't fit over glasses. Tou can adjust the goggles per your prescription but may come with an extra cost. All in all its a fantastic drone and surely now will be competitivelly priced now the Avata 2 is here.

Extremely happy with this drone and have been using it whenever the weather allowed it. The quality is good and it endured a handful of crashes so has me impressed. Extremely easy to use and get hang of and plenty of tutorials to watch. Functional and good value. Will definitely be using this drone for plenty of more flights

You need a spotter with you. The sd card is almost impossible to remove without taking off a prop. It is over the 250 g weight. It is noisy. It has no obstacle avoidence. BUT A HELL OF A LOT OF FUN.

Drone arrived in good time and is a brilliant piece of kit. Having lots of fun flying it and making some really cool videos. The controls are really intuitive and easy to use. Battery performance is as described. Image quality is also really good. Would defo recommend.

second dji item sent back within a month my new dji avatar drone battery was defective i asked if i could just return the battery but i had too send googles drone and controller all back not very helpful

Easiest to fly FPV drone out there. Plug and play, it just doesn't disappoint. Worth every penny. You'll be a pro in a week.

Premessa, non che in genere sia un professionista, ma ignorate il montaggio arrangiatissimo del video che ho fatto giusto per non pubblicare i ritagli grezzi delle mie svolazzate :) Venendo al drone, al di là degli aspetti puramente tecnici, che ritengo inutili da analizzare in questa sede considerando le molte recensioni che si trovano online, mi limito a riportare il mio pensiero sul quadricottero. Sono un utilizzatore di droni classici con patente A2 e non ho mai avuto (e tantomeno usato) droni FPV. Ho comprato l'avata perché è un drone FPV pronto all'uso, non avendo tempo (e voglia) per autocostruirmene uno, impostarne i valori di volo, o anche solo per scegliere e abbinare i componenti (radiocomando, visore, drone...etc...). DJI ha fatto un lavoro grandioso proprio perché l'AVATA è un drone davvero pronto all'uso: si tira fuori dalla scatola, si attiva il tutto e si è già pronti per svolazzare. La potenzialità di questo drone è la qualità generale, tipica di DJI, ma anche (e soprattutto) la semplicità d'uso. Pensando a droni FPV si immagina qualcosa di complicatissimo da pilotare, e così è (soprattutto in modalità acro, cioè manuale), ma l'Avata è un drone che offre diverse modalità di volo, stabilizzate, per cui davvero alla portata di tutti, per poi consentire a chi è più esperto, con il radiocomando classico (non incluso), di poter passare alla modalità manuale e spingere al massimo questo quadricottero che a livello costruttivo e prestazionale è davvero eccellente. Tornando al punto fortissimo di questo drone, la semplicità d'uso, questa è garantita dal tanto discusso motion controller (unico controller in dotazione). I piloti FPV, ovviamente, lo vedono come un giocattolo....ma chi invece non ha esperienze di volo in questa modalità, si trova a pilotare già dopo pochi minuti dall'unboxing del drone, riuscendo a realizzare voli e riprese davvero interessanti. L'Avata non è da considerarsi un semplice drone FPV, ma un cinewhoop finalizzato (anche e soprattutto) alle riprese video in stile cinematografico, non proprio adatto invece al freestyle (ambito in cui gli autocostruiti hanno la meglio, per varie ragioni che non sto qui a riportare, ma facilmente rinvenibili online attraverso i canali dei piloti FPV). L'essere pronto all'uso è confermato anche dalla cam montata, che è di tutto rispetto e consente di realizzare riprese davvero strepitose, non inducendo quindi a montare action cam sulla struttura per migliorare la qualità dei video acquisiti (cosa invece tipica dei droni squisitamente FPV e dediti al freestyle). Per quel che riguarda la mia personale esperienza, pur avendo apprezzato questo quadricottero che mi ha permesso di divertirmi parecchio da subito (5 minuti d'orologio dal primo decollo, tempo necessario per capire le gesture del motion controller e del visore) senza aver alcuna esperienza, ho riscontrato degli enormi limiti diciamo logistici legati alle possibilità d'uso e, alla fine, per una questione puramente pratica, hi deciso di renderlo. Il problema principale è che l'Avata è un drone rumorosissimo (per ovvie ragioni) e molto molto indiscreto: per come vivo io le mie svolazzate, al di là dell'uso che potrei farne in ambienti totalmente isolati in cui mi sarebbe permesso volare senza preoccupazioni, in luoghi pubblici non riuscirei a usarlo serenamente e questo comporterebbe che il drone resterebbe per la maggior parte della sua vita nella borsa. A mio modesto avviso, l'Avata non è un drone che si tira fuori dalla borsa (in quelle zone pubbliche in cui è consentito farlo) e si fa decollare tranquillamente. Intanto, la preoccupazione che possa succedere qualcosa è alta, proprio per lo stile di pilotaggio del quadricottero, decisamente accelerato rispetto ad un drone classico, ma anche perché con droni del genere si vola per lo più bassi e vicini ai soggetti (monumenti, edifici, strutture di vario genere..etc...) che si vogliono riprendere. Quanto appena detto apre le porte ad un'altra questione: la copertura del segnale radio. Trattandosi di droni che danno il meglio di sé volando basso, la portata radio si riduce notevolmente a poche centinaia di metri e, pur dovendo rimanere in VLOS per l'osservatore (condizione obbligatoria per legge), il rischio di perdere il segnale all'improvviso, ad esempio mentre si sta effettuando una manovra particolare dietro a qualche struttura o ostacolo, è alto, con la conseguenza di possibili crash e danni. Tra l'altro, se ci si trova in ambienti pubblici, frequentati, è inevitabile attirare l'attenzione di chiunque sia in zona, anche dell'attaccabrighe di turno (circostanza sorvolabile se si è in regola, ma che potrebbe ugualmente generare fastidi). Insomma, per come vivo io l'uso dei quadricotteri, anche in rapporto al costo di questo AVATA (ripeto, ben congeniato, costruito, funzionale e pratico), in luoghi pubblici non è un drone che si usa serenamente e con discrezione, ed è per questo che l'ho reso. Tra l'altro, non bisogna ignorare neppure che non è ancora ben chiaro il destino di questo drone da gennaio dell'anno prossimo: che fine farà questo drone in applicazione del regolamento europeo che prevede differenti possibilità di volo (in base alla marcatura dei droni) e restrizioni importanti per quei droni privi di marcatura? Consiglio assolutamente l'acquisto dell'AVATA però solo avendo considerato questi aspetti, per me cruciali, e possedendo la patente quantomeno A1-A3 (necessaria per legge). Ancora una volta, brava DJI e...buon volo!

Apparently somebody decided to buy a new one and return the old on in its box and get their money back. The Avata I received wasn't wrapped, the safety seal was broken and it showed signs of being flown into things and the entire thing was dusty like it had been sitting on a shelf. All of the packaging on the charger and replacement props were ripped open and the USB cord was missing entirely. Not sure how this got through the return department and sent back out as a new item. When I went to send it back for a replacement the only option it gave me was a full refund. I talked to a customer service representative through the chat and they told me they'd sent out my replacement and sent me the return shipping label to my e-mail. After waiting an hour and still not receiving the e-mail or seeing the replacement order in my orders I contacted support again to discover the first agent never actually put in for my replacement. Luckily the second agent was much more helpful. They had to get it approved by their supervisor but was able to process my replacement and I received a new wrapped Avata the next day. The drone itself is awesome. I bought some bumper guards to go over the plastic and an aluminum gimbal protector to go on the front. I've been flying it around the house zipping around corners. Already hit a few things and crashed a few times but the drone hasn't taken any damage with the add-ons I put on it. Great indoor drone. Much more fun to fly indoors than my DJI FPV. You can be more bold with it knowing that the propellers won't end up hitting the walls and send the drone crashing. If you bump something hard enough it will still probably crash though. This will my go-to drone for indoor filming and filming in wooded areas with lots of trees.

Best drone ever

Ich habe diese Drohne für mich selber als Weihnachtsgeschenk gekauft. Wie bei DJI bekannt kommt das Produkt sehr hochwertig verpackt. Es macht wie immer sehr viel Spaß das Produkt auszupacken. Die Drohne macht einen sehr hochqualitativen Eindruck, sogar so ein hohen Eindruck, dass ich denke, bei einem Crash geht sie nicht direkt kaputt. Der motion Controller ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, wenn man vorher mit einer herkömmlichen Drohne geflogen ist. Ich habe diese jedoch gekauft, da ich mal FPV ausprobieren wollte. Für Menschen, die jedoch noch keine Drohne geflogen sind, ist der motion Controller RC 2 sehr Anfänger freundlich. Man steuert die Drohne praktisch wie ein Flugzeug. Man kann mit dem Motion Controller jedoch keine Loopings machen oder andere spezielle Flugmanöver. Die angegebenen Flugzeit konnte ich leider nicht erreichen, aber es kommt sicher auch darauf an, wie man fliegt. Den so genannten Acro Modus kann man mit einem anderen Controller von DJI aktivieren. Dazu ist aber Übung nötig. Für mich irrelevant, waren die mitgelieferten Sehstärken. Diese sind gerade bei Brillenträger sehr hilfreich, denn mit Brille kann man die FPV Brille nicht aufsetzen. Die Aufnahmequalität der Drohne ist sehr hoch und für das Geld kann man damit wirklich zufrieden sein. Wichtig für alle, die in der EU leben: Diese Drohne hat noch keine C-Klassifizierung, da diese Drohne jedoch ein Startgewicht von 410 g hat, sollte man einen Drohnen Führerschein dazu machen . außerdem sollte man diese Drohne mit der Versicherungsnummer beim LBA melden und seine Kontaktdaten auf der Drohne hinterlassen. außerdem sollte man unbedingt einen Spotter mit dabei haben. (eine zweite Personen, welcher nach der Drohne schaut und wo sie ist) informiert euch dort am besten selber noch mal, denn es gibt doch viele rechtliche Aspekte. Wir befinden uns ja immer noch in der EU und hier ist es natürlich nicht so einfach mit einer Drohne am Himmel herum zu schwirren Ich werde an meine Bewertung Videos und Fotos anhängen, sobald ich ein paar geile Aufnahmen gemacht habe.
