A little messy but this stuff works on my car locks. A little goes a long way and clean up can be comical if you're not careful with the tube.

This small tube of graphite powder is perfect for doors knobs & hinges. It's easy to apply & doesn't over coat or overspray like graphite in an aerosol can. Tube arrived outside of bag. Company promptly sent a replacement free of charge.

Needed some lubricant for the vehicle locks as they were getting rough to insert the keys. The bottle has a sealed end and only a small cut was needed to open the container and squirt a little in the lock. It worked well and the lock worked so much smoother after.

Didn't even think to read reviews for a $5 tube of graphite powder before buying. How can anyone screw that up? Now I see that others have drawn the same conclusion. For one, it's not powder, more like flakes. Too coarse to even come out of the tube, much less get it into a tight space like a keyed lock. Only consolation is AMZ refunded without return. Cut a bigger hole in the tube and you could use it for something, maybe? Still won't be able to use it for its stated purpose (a lock), unless you disassemble.

Puffed the stuff in to the keyhole, horizontally. Perhaps most of it landed on the ground, but the lock no longer snags the teeth of the (multiple people's) keys anymore. Insertion and removal and rotation all now very smooth!

This works by puffing, shake it first, then hold it up right for the large graphite dust to settle then downards and squeeze the tube multiple times. Be careful of the dust, it's worse than ink when cleaning.
